@VaBeach_Eagle will appreciate bringing up the music version of this

It's a must do, whenever there's a musical (or Friends) connection to something, link it lol.

Makes me think that Howie has another move planned (preserving the remaining cap).

Plenty of UFA's on the roster to re-sign

Lost in all the discussion is that Quinn is a guy you definitely want in your locker room.  He was a team captain with the Bears.  The Phils rode that kind of leadership all the way to the NL Pennant.

Much needed depth thats a proven commodity.

We've so many leaders now, thats exactly what you need.

I only hope that we resign CGJ and Bradbury.

Exactly the trade I wanted

This is interesting...if it accounts for just double-teams on pass plays.  If it accounts for both run and pass plays, then this stat doesn't mean much.

But, I like the deal for Quinn.  Hopefully he gives us some juice for the rest of this year.

No doubt, it makes perfect sense that that would be the first line of thinking.  But knowing Howie, I have a gut feeling he is pushing all of his chips in to try to take advantage of the 6-0 start and what seems to be a down conference this year to try to win it all.  I can understand taking that approach but TBH I think I would prefer to re-up some of our own - we have a lot of players that are playing very well in some prominent roles that are scheduled to become FAs after this season (Bradberry, CJGJ, White, Edwards, Hargrave, Epps, ...), so I hope you are right.

Another baller.  Howie is doing a great job.  All these guys coming in can really play.

This is such a good move. I was watching a game like 2-3 weeks ago and think why isn’t anyone trading for Quinn I’m sure he wants out. GD Howie pulling off another steal.

I believe that Howie has already created scenarios for the offseason......cap wise and who he will try to resign.  Going to be difficult to keep all the key guys, but nobody thought Howie would do what he did this last offseason with signings, draft picks and the salary cap issues.

Rob - they're the only undefeated team in the league and are on a SB or bust run.  They can spare a 4th round pick, especially when the team will probably be awarded compensatory picks during the offseason

I hear you but I;m not so sure about the comp picks.

they signer White,  Reddick, and Pascal. They lost Avery, Nelson, Ridgeway, Singleton, Herbig, and McLoud.

In terms of quality, production, and dollars, we gor more of each.

Even so  - I don't think it amounts to more than a 5th or 6th.

Guy is a professional pass rusher.

Familiar with the scheme, and played for Fangio.

Less reps, and less double teams.

Replaces Barnett in the rotation.

Bears pay his remaining salary on the year -Birds get for vet minimum.

Hoping playing for a contender rekindles his fire -but I expected this and remain hopeful of safety help by Tuesday.

So you trade back a round or two in exchange for a very capable D-line veteran,  based on the very likely chance that your 4 current d-line starters won't make it through the 17-game reg season unscathed.

Can't imagine having a problem with this trade.

I do - next year matters too

Meh. So does 2030.

You have a 6-0 team and a very friendly schedule, you pull the trigger for great D-line depth in exchange for a 4th rounder.

I am sure the team is thinking that as they have a legit chance at a title.

You win the Turkey Hill, dope take of the day.

I love how none of the national sports "debate” shows give any publicity to the only undefeated team in the league who’s still making moves.

I hope we bring back the underdogs.

If he helps us into a super bowl run nobody in their right mind will give two fs about a 4th round pick

Bold prediction:

He gets 2 sacks this weekend.

Does he play this wk? It was pointed out he hasn't had a bye so that would give him 18 reg season games

Nothing in the NFLPA that says he needs a week off.
