June 5, 20205 yr More intrigued by Killins, a couple of devastating blocks and he is probably gone. just sayin’

He might have the body type but He doesnt run like Gore,/Jones-Drew. Hes not that type of back when you watch all his film. Hes more of a cutter who hits it to the outside of the tackle. He doesnt look for that contact like a Gore and Drew consistently. Like I said, I like him but him, Clement and Holyfield are the same style back. It sounds to me you're using his open field running ability against him, maybe you want to knock him for his receiving ability also.

June 5, 20205 yr I’d still love to take a change on Isaiah Crowell. He always produced and is over a year removed from his Achilles injury. Even if we sign and stash him on IR then bring him back later in the year.

For one random thought in response to other posts in other threads... So, there you go. There's your explanation.

They have the size but they are not ground and pound backs. They are cutters, they cut more towards the tackle and outside. Do they each have some inside runs? Yes but they are not the type of player who will drop down the shoulder and bring pain to the defense. Howard was that style back, Blount was that style back. I would like a back like that on the team to give the true 3 headed monster and be able to give the defense different looks and run styles. Michael Warren is a big, North-South RB. At 5’9 and 226 lbs that’s exactly what he is. And don’t take my word for it, Google his highlight reel and you’ll see him take 2-3 defenders into the end zone with him close to a dozen times. Just because the guy has some moves doesn’t mean he’s not a big, North-South type RB. If anything, he reminds me of Howard but with even better burst and seemingly better speed. We won’t know what he looks like in the NFL for a month or two but from first glance, the kid looks like the real deal.

I do like the sound of him though and to be honest at this point I'd probably feel better with Warren on the roster than Clement.

There are a number of cases where we don't really know what we have.

I just viewed Scott's LA Tech highlights and you may be right concerning Scott over Clement. What I saw on his highlights was the same thing I saw from him last year with the Eagles, namely, he hits the hole hard on every carry, there's no hesitation in his game which is a highly desirable trait for a RB. Looking at the Jacobs/Sanders comparison last year, I thought Sanders was the more talented player but IMO Jacobs played better because he hit the hole harder, you're not going to get away with excessive hesitation against the better defenses, take what you can get when you can get it.

Agreed, and Jacobs was also their #1 RB from the second he was drafted. I can't even recall if they utilized their #2 a lot, so Jacobs had a ton of carries. In the long run, I'd rather have Miles for his receiving ability, his homerun speed, and his willingness and ability to pass block like an animal (I say that 3rd strength with a big ish eating grin on my face). As for comparing Scott and Clement at this point, the #2 RB spot is for Scott to lose. Unfortunately, Clement has been hurt since the SB, and he's now back in tryout mode. Scott sure looked the part when given a chance last year. Despite his diminutive height, he's a really thick RB (ala Sproles), and I hope this helps with his durability.

I agree, I think in the long run Sanders will be the better back but he wasn't last year, he just needs to man up and begin running harder. Another agreement, I was surprised that Scott was listed at 5'6'', 203, he doesn't look it, not only that, supposedly he runs a 4.40, that's damn good for a RB. As far as the rotation goes, I'm thinking the 1-2 (Finesse-Power) punch will be Sanders/Warren with Scott being the #3 back, that's only because I have Killins playing the slot. Bottom line, the Eagles have a great stable of RBs at this time, hopefully Dunce knows how to use them.

Scott makes this roster, potentially as the #2 but could be the #3 depending on if they bring anyone else in. Clement should be battling for the #4 spot at best.
