Like Bottled In Bond Whiskey. The guy gets Monkish delivered to his house weekly and any doubles he gets he trades. His one buddy does the same. They've been to Tree House, but the majority of the beers from that night were via trade.

I still have plenty left. I think that's because last year there was more of it. We got 50% more than the previous year (and I wouldn't be surprised if other stores also got more) and I think stores that didn't get any 2 years ago probably got at least 1cs last year. Still have the variants left, too.

Got loads of chocolate, then coffee and a hint of marshmallow. It is on the chewy and viscous side, which you'd expect from a quality 11.8% ABV Stout. Damn good. ABV is a little too well hidden as you drink it. Sending one out your way on the next box, @ToastJenkins. That looks delicious. Did you find this in PA?

October 1, 20204 yr I'm not sure if this can fit in this thread, or deserves its own thread, but I would like to put together a list of the best breweries in each area of the country. It's subjective, of course. Regions can be pretty big, but broken down into smaller areas as well. Here's a start, from my opinion on places: Delaware: Dewey Beer Company Northern Delaware: not sure, but possibly Iron Hill Brewery Philadelphia area: Tired Hands Lancaster County: Spring House South Central Pennsylvania: Fourscore North Central Pennsylvania: New Trail Pittsburgh area: Dancing Gnome Finger Lakes of NY: Mortalis Western New York: not sure, but possibly Resurgence or Thin Man South Florida: South Beach Brewing Company Northern Arizona: Mother Road Milwaukee area: Eagle Park Any debates? Any suggestions on the hundreds of other regions in other places of the country? Should this be in its own thread?
October 1, 20204 yr Author Chicago areaIs very strong. Perhaps Pipeworks but several strong candidates boston is trillium and treehouse then everyone else Indiana is 450 North i put three floyds etc as chicago area
October 1, 20204 yr NJ: Troon and Icarus I think they've both surpassed Kane. Though Bolero Snort lately has been making the best fruited Sours in NJ. Bonesaw is a dark horse. They have loads of money behind them and so far have had a very good overall business model. They're solid, just have yet to produce something that really 'wows' you.

October 3, 20204 yr 21 hours ago, ToastJenkins said: Did you get to a troon release yet? Nope. They usually do them on a Friday or Saturday and I work both days, plus it'd be well over an hour drive for me even if I could drop and fly. From what I understand, even though they are sort of out in 'East BumbleF' that once they announce a crowler release on social media that people swarm to them and soon after a long line forms and they're sold out within 2-3 hours. Going to have to hit the Brick Farm Tavern to try some draft. In the meantime, I got this Stout in this week, another gem from Timber Ales, though this time in collaboration with The Seed. An Imperial Stout (12%) aged on maple syrup, coffee and cassia bark. Nice, rich, chewy, tasty. Also got a NE IPA from the as well, Between State And Main, that is very good.

October 10, 20204 yr Exactly what it advertises: bittersweet and choclatey, a touch of malt. Delicious. They did a nitro chocolate stout on scratch a few years back that I loved, which ultimately became house brew, but it seemed to lose some of the flavor and depth once they started making it regularly. When I first had it, it was so frothy, and you could really taste the chocolate. This scratch reminds me of how good that one used to be. We're finally getting to my favorite beer seasons in 2020...
October 10, 20204 yr 9 minutes ago, ToastJenkins said: Anyone a fan of Imprint in PA? Yup. Going there soon with a couple friends. Either this Sunday if I can get a reservation to Brick Farm Tavern for after or a couple Sundays from now. Imprint is doing online sales on Friday and then you can pick up at 2 brewery locations, one in Hatfield the other in Pottstown, but only from noon-3pm. We're figuring on hitting Imprint and then going to Brick Farm to get some Troon on draft. They currently have a pastry Stout and a fruited Sour on draft. They also have some Icarus on draft and in cans. It's an hour from brewery to tavern and New Hope is on the way so might stop there to kill some time since Brick Farm does lunch from 11:30am-2:30pm and then dinner from 5-8pm on Sundays.
