Yup.  I had all my pumpkin and Oktoberfest (with the exception of Sam Adams and Sierra Nevada) put away and put them out this past Saturday.  Built one nice sized display of about 72 cases and have others here and there.  Biggest pumpkins are Dogfish Punkin, Shipyard Pumpkinhead and Southern Tier PumKing.  20 cases of each.  Even have pumpkin Ciders.  The season of the spice is upon us.

Having a Bell's Double Two Hearted. I have never really been a fan of the original but this one is quite good.

I'm getting 1 case at my store tomorrow.  Must be limited since I only got allocated 1cs.

I did get in today a couple from Marlowe Artisanal Ales, another one of those brewers brewing out of that facility in CT that's part of the 12 Percent distribution family.  I've been doing well with their hoppy Pale Ale, Eager To Share.  It's only 5.4%, but has really nice tropical/citrus hop flavour on it.  They had previously done a Galaxy version of it and now they have a Strata and Nelson (Sauvin) versions as well.  Delivery came late today so I have them chilling in my fridge.

Also got in a Stout by Short Throw, again part of that 12 Percent facility.  My Mug, My Rules brewed to taste like a hot cocoa with coffee, cocoa nibs, marshmallow and milk sugar.  So far the reviews are really good.  I might have one later tonight.

Cracked this one open tonight.  The hot cocoa Stout I mentioned above.  Got loads of chocolate, then coffee and a hint of marshmallow.  It is on the chewy and viscous side, which you'd expect from a quality 11.8% ABV Stout.  Damn good.  ABV is a little too well hidden as you drink it.  Sending one out your way on the next box, @ToastJenkins.

Marzens are better fall beers than pumpkin beers.  Just thought I would mention that.  Happy Oktoberfest!

I thought the Dog Fish was very subtle in terms of pumpkin flavor. I like the Southern Tier. Lancasters Baked Pumpkin is very similar to the Southern Tier. The Sam Adams pumpkin this year is very, very sweet. Almost like a shandy (though I haven't tried the Leinie pumpkin shandy yet). Just tried the DeClaw (out of Baltimore) not a fan. I have been looking for the River Horse but haven't seen it yet this year. Likewise with the Evil Genius which I thought was really good last year...

I recently got the River Horse Hippolantern in.  It came out later than most of the pack for some reason.  I did a preorder for the Evil Genius Trick Or Treat with the brewery rep so he made sure my distributor got it to me.  I missed out on the Lancaster Baked Pumpkin, which I'm pissed about.  A couple years ago I sold 5cs out before mid October then last year I sold out 7cs the first week into October (both years I started selling them the first week of September).  I wanted 10cs this year.  After I put my order in the delivery came it was listed as "out of stock", which means they sold it all already.  Since I had it the previous 2 years and carry Lancaster's core beers year round and bring in their seasonals I thought I'd be good to get it again.  I emailed the brewery and asked if they were sending more to the distro.  They replied saying they had sent them 360cs and then were sending them another 140cs.  So next time I had to place an order with my rep I mentioned the brewery telling me there'd be more cases and next delivery I got hosed again.  So I'm not really bringing in anything new from that distro for a while unless it's something I have to have.  I also didn't get any Sam Adams Pumpkin and don't think the distro for them got any either.  There's so many beers out or that go back and forth from being available to being out again due to the pandemic.  Sales spiked, but production was down due to most companies not having a full labour force, so everyone is playing catch up.  Things have slowed a little, but not enough for them to get caught up.  And on top of that there's an aluminum can shortage.  It's freakin' crazy.

My wife loves when I give her the old River Horse Hippoplantern.  She can't walk for days but not my problem!

Drank the 2014 dark lord

Was outstanding

One of my best craft customers invited me to his house where he and some buddies (really cool group of guys) are doing a tasting of some serious beers.  He is a big time trader now and gets almost anything so there's Trillium, Monkish, Tree House and Fidens.  Going to be a fun night.

Animal Crackers Stout from Mortalis.  Tastes like chocolate animal crackers.  Delicious.

I have family in Buffalo and drive through Batavia sometimes on the way up.  I finally detoured and stopped by Mortalis this summer.  It closed at 9 PM, and I got there at 7:05 PM, but it turned out that it closed at 7 PM.  So I was 5 minutes late.  I asked if I could get some beers to go and it was a hard no.  I understand that if they're closed they're closed, but I was really hoping things would've gone my way.  I'll have to stop by there another year.

He's been there and said they do really good fruited Sours and Stouts.  They do other beers, but those 2 styles are the ones they're best at doing.
