@Gannan's saying it has to be aliens because it can't be anything else

or something like that

Also, Hitler was an artist.

Bobby was shot by a crazy person, so was Reagan. The pope too. Even Abe recently (technically out of power, but still.) It happens.

Bobby's murder was part of the CIA conspiracy too.

I don't really believe in aliens, but it's possible. What we do know is that there are dozens of documented reports various military personnel have made about UFO's that government kept secret until they were declassified.

The JFK assassination is the one conspiracy theory I think has a lot of merit. Is there incontrovertible proof that he was murdered by the CIA? No. But there's a crap ton of smoke. Mostly it depends on if people are inclined to believe in coincidence. For me there's too much coincidence to dismiss that JFK and RFK were both murdered by forces within our own government.

Probably a better question is, where were those forces from 2016-2020?

That they've entered our atmosphere? It's really not.

Anything is possible. What do you attribute all of the UFO sightings by our military to?

Various things, some still unexplained, but none of them being aliens. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence, and none of the evidence thus far qualifies.

The jury is still out on this one.

Military people, are still just people.

Being an avid outer space buff, I have seen a lot of evidence, but still nothing that makes me sure, one way or the other.

The Universe is too large for us to be the only intelligent life. That said, would even recognize alien life?

Most of what is attributed to aliens looks like teen-aged pranks.

A UFO is literally an unidentified flying object. So, yeah, they're sometimes seeing objects in the air that they can't identify.

As Toastrel said, the universe is huge. And we're just a droplet in the ocean. Life might exist somewhere, but that doesn't mean we're crossing paths anytime soon. The fact that we have so many "sightings" and yet so little conclusive evidence isn't strengthening the case. Kinda weakens the case in my mind.

Anyway how about that Lee Harvey Oswald!?!?!

Even money says he was a space alien.

I really enjoy all of the "who's crazier" back and forth.

For the record you're all out of your Fing minds.

Own it and grow.

The National Archives released over 12,000 documents on the assassination today:  LINK

Interesting. Lee Harvey Oswald publicly stated that he wanted to kill Kennedy, but our Government failed to stop him.

This was the original report and the most honest. Of course the Gen. Ramey letter also mentions UFO's and alien bodies.

I thought he was the Green Goblin.

I was referring to items like this

It's most likely that the various branches of our military keep secrets form each other and what various military personnel are seeing are advanced aircraft that are ours, and they just don't know about them yet. My point though was that these sightings were kept secret until they were declassified, meaning that yes the government is capable of keeping things secret when they are serious about it. No reason they couldn't cover up and keep secret a CIA op to kill JFK and RFK.

Yeah, the government can keep secrets all the time.

Like about MK Ultra. Iran Contra. Watergate. Black sites. Mass surveillance. Nuclear Bombs. Submarine Depths. WMD in Iraq. Tonkin Gulf. Laos. Cambodia. Cocaine. Samuel Culper.

They're so good. I've never heard of any of those things.

It's one thing to keep secrets about our past follies or failed operations, even ones that have yet to be made public. It's another entirely to keep secrets about events that would seemingly bend the laws of physics as we understand them.

i think the far left and the far right switched over since 9-11.

2000 was Rage against the Machine, F the man, F the government, being the far left.

Now the far left is, trust the gubbermment, we need more gubberment would do no wrong, gubberment says get the jab

A curious fossil from that era is Bill Maher's politically Incorrect, from when the left was proud of using the term.

The effective definition of "classified" is that information is compartmentalized based on a "need to know".  The more mundane the information, the more likely it is to remain undisclosed.  The more out of the ordinary the information, the less likely it is to remain uncompromised.  Killing your own president falls pretty firmly into the latter category.

I'd wager we have quite a few aircraft that we won't know about for a long time if ever.
