The Cold War was an ideological struggle, but if Trump keeps ceding power and influence to Russia then it’s hard to make the argument that the U.S. actually won in the long run.

Wasnt Ukraine invaded during the previois regime, who did nothing?   And theyve signed numerous ceasefires since then (during Trumps term, of course)

Trump has taken infinitely more anti-Russian actions than the Obama admin.  Just to be clear, are you advocating the US intervening in this conflict militarily?  Would you like to US to violate the ceasefire on behalf of Ukraine??

And yes, he is moving troops from Germany to Poland.  Looking at a map, Poland is closer to Russia.  Curious as to how stationing troops closer to Russia is caving to Russia

NATO has been the best defense against soviet aggression. No I'm not advocating for regime change in Russia. They need to be alienated, isolated, and sanctioned. Collectively NATO could work together to cripple the Russian economy. Putin knows this, which is why he hates NATO and is doing his best to keep Trump, who also hates NATO, in office. I fully expect Trump to pull the US out of NATO in his second term, or perhaps his 3rd term if he is not defeated. Germany represented a key military and strategic resource for us. It's where the majority of wounded troops are flown to for surgery. I suppose you could make the argument that having a level 1 trauma center for US military in Europe isn't as necessary as it was previously since we are retreating from the middle east, which I'm not particularly happy about either, but I don't want to get into that in the picture thread in fear of getting the dreaded...
