How is that a counter point to source of income?

because the distressed/rundown property as originally priced in 1974 was within a price range of a Senator's salary, which was in the $45k range in 1974.

It was purchased for $185k, no idea how much he put down but say the mortgage was $150k. Average rate for mortgage was 9% in 1974. Monthly payment would be $1,200. Base monthly income for a Senator is 3x that. It's pretty tight assuming no other means of income than his senate salary, but it's not impossible. Marrying Jill supplemented income further, throw in time value of money and it's really not that ridiculous to believe he could afford to buy an underpriced property, spend two decades improving it, and selling it for a nice profit.

He was sold in 1996. So he hasn't lived there in almost 25 years.

While I would suggest that 4 times your salary for a distressed property that would require tens of thousands in renovations is out of your price range, you did not answer how tax records is a sound counterpoint.

Replace the sitting man with Cuomo and it would be more accurate or better yet CCP President.

Given my back of the napkin calculation, I also wouldn't do it. But I don't know what Biden's risk tolerance was in 1974. Many bet on themselves when it comes to home purchases, and I have no idea if he had more to put down or whether there was supplemental income that helped here. He also was making more a few years later, and I don't know but I suspect senators who serve on committees make more. Worst case for him if he couldn't keep up mortgage payments is he puts it back in the market.

In terms of the tax bill counterpoint, the message Eric Trump was trying to send with his tweet was that Biden is somehow corrupt, because it's the only way he could have afforded that house.

I outlined that it's not completely unreasonable for Joe to have been able to purchase that property on his salary. And he did have a law practice prior to becoming a senator, though I have no idea how successful.

Contrast that with Trump living in great luxury while only paying $750 in taxes, and I think that sends a message that Trump is being hypocritical.

The Trump family accusing anyone of corruption is like OJ Simpson trying to accuse someone of being a bad husband. It's legitimately insane.

They should just lean into it.

Trust me people, they are corrupt. It takes one to know one.

Apparently old puddin' head (Aikman, not Biden) thinks the president dictates flyovers on game day

Aikman: "That’s a lot of jet fuel just to do a little flyover.”

Buck: "That’s your hard-earned money and your tax dollars at work.”

Aikman: "That stuff ain’t happening with [a] Kamala-Biden ticket, I’ll tell you that right now partner.”

That’s not real
