Well it wastes money for a photo op. I guess that's an accomplishment of sorts.

Depends on how shes using her time.

Does a photo op at the border really accomplish that much? Trump seemed to go every 2 weeks. What was the benefit to the American people?

Perhaps when she is finished with the pictures, she could chat with the local officials to see if the Administration might address their concerns?

Does she need to go to the border for that?

If nothing else, it's stupid politics on her part. Go to the border, meet some agents, do a photo op and end the talking point. This is just a self-inflicted wound.

She's a terrible politician, but I don't think its necessary to always cave to the right's talking points. They'll always come up with something else.

That there is little to be gained by going, does not preclude it being the smarter move.

Would it hurt to meet FTF?

Like I said, depends on what its taking away from. Its largely symbolic to cater to people's feelers. Im not big on doing things for the sake of feelings.

 she should go and that's really not even debatable the problem is not being solved by doing nothing. The "border Czar" that hasn't been to the border. C'mon guys.

Sure they will. But she certainly doesn't appear to be doing a great job with this border situation.

I've never been a fan of Kamala, and she's not earning herself any fans with this.

If she was a good politician she'd at least look like she's doing something. Going to the border, being on the ground, understanding the challenges (or at least pretending to) would be helpful. Yeah, the right is going to come up with something, but she also can objectively be doing a bad job.

Agreed that she's doing a bad job. I'm just saying that making one trip to the border wouldn't magically fix anything nor would it make her a better VP.

AOCs photo op produced hundreds of valuable memes

Especially if you like to eat GMOs

There’s literally nothing wrong with GMOs.

Like the majority of food we eat has been genetically modified. Like bananas? Genetically modified.

I have no Fn idea why a swath of people who are all "believe the science” when it comes to climate change suddenly don’t want to literally eat the fruits of the labor of scientists.

GMOs are basically the agricultural field's version of vaccines. Proven safe, yet still doubted by many because they sound scarier than they actually are.

There are still so many people who confuse GMOs with insecticides and other chemicals used to increase crop yields.

Yep, pesticides are objectively toxic in large enough doses, but the majority found on produce are still trace amounts that can be easily washed off. But there's nothing objectively toxic about GMO's.

There’s grocery stores like Trader Joe’s that don’t sell GMOs.  You don’t like it?  Don’t shop there.  Pretty easy problem to solve…

Oh I agree. My point is so many clueless people think they are the same thing lol. It's sad.
