So I guess we are now debating if it works for a poor who also drives 50 miles uphill both ways to work If you hardly drive an EV doesn't offer much in savings, and the restrictions outweigh the inconvenience of the limited range. We can just disagree, and you can still buy the car you want. I will stand by what I said. For the average person, the tech for EVs is not quite there yet. That's my belief. By all means keep trying to change my minds and I will keep replying with jokes about Joe who just wants to get home and see his family after workong 12 hours, but has to stop for a coffee first in order to make it there.

It's your belief, but you have yet to make one solid point to support it. You only make these broad declarations and hypothetical examples that are way to easy to poke holes through. Example: Joe who works 12 hours and wants to see has family isn't going to stop for coffee to charge it. Its going to get his butt home and plug it in and even with a trickle charge has enough to get to and from work each day. Or you said people who only drive a little won't reap savings because they don't use much gas. But you leave out maintenance savings. 1 minute ago, Boogyman said: Oh lastly, the poors keep their cars for longer than above average income people. And?

Below are a few other of his builds over the years. (though the one above was actually built by Rad Rides by Troy as a show only car, and Rod bought it and converted it to a street car.) The one below was the fastest street car back in 2008 on street tires through the mufflers.

Every see someone who has had an ish-ton of plastic surgery and they looked worse? That's what those cars remind me of.

I hope you pick a really nice EV.

It's the only thing that remains "mostly" stock outside of my RV. 1 minute ago, Boogyman said: Gotta be honest, off the top of my head, I couldn't tell you the square root of 487567.3287634977 But I could say, with absolute certainty, the answer is neither blue or George Washington. I also love resto-mods, where they add modern parts and features to cool classic cars. The paint jobs, added body parts, and other crap on those pictures make them look terrible. Like they audtioned for a Fast and Furious movie but never got a call back. Obviously my opinion of course. Just now, Ipiggles said: I take that back, you might like my 71 chevelle ss , it looks mostly stock Yeah I can dig that.

He likes to drag race as well, so most of his cars are set up as dual useage, Street/race. I like em all.
April 4, 20223 yr Oh, and some of the high end EVs are beautiful and perform absolutely amazing. If I were a car guy I'd probably at least want to drive one.

Right now I don't care to own more than two vehicles and I generally look for practicality over form. I try and pair my two cars to compliment each other based on my current needs. Just now, Ipiggles said: You can do some mods to the Tesla's and make them even faster. Yeah I know. Hell, they have software updates that add performance. Pretty cool.
