August 1, 20223 yr This guy is pretty good, kinda like Klepper. Sure with the amount of rampant mental illness found among Trump supporters, this sort of thing is like shooting fish in a barrel, but I still enjoy the delivery.

This wrestler on top here is Mack Beggs, who was born female and decided to transition to a male. Texas law required him to compete with his biological gender, so he was forced to wrestle in the girls wrestling class for several years, in spite of wanting to compete against males. Interesting story, but if you're someone who believes that everyone is the gender that they were born, then in fact this is just a picture of two girls wrestling.

Uh...we massively support Taiwan with arms sales and other means. US arms packages to Taiwan are massive. Here's the really simple explanation. Back in 1979, we (along with the rest of the world) switched from recognizing Taiwan to recognizing Communist China. After WW2, the west refused to recognize the PRC and instead recognized the ROC (Republic of China, Chaing Kai Shek's defeated army that fled to Taiwan after losing the Chinese civil war to the communists). Taiwan, not the mainland, represented China at the UN and had the permanent seat on the Security Council. In 1979, after Nixon first opened relations with Mao in 1972, we switched and adopted what is known as the "one-China policy" that Beijing espouses. Basically, it states that there is only one China, and Taiwan is a part of China. This is the policy of the CCP, and it is our public policy as well (along with the rest of the world). But we also passed the Taiwan Relations Act of 1979, whereby we maintain informal relations and pledged to defend Taiwan (some people think this isn't explicit as it says we will provide for the defense of Taiwan). So basically, ever since 1979, we do this stupid dance. We don't support formal independence, don't have an embassy, etc. But we have massive trade with Taiwan, sell them arms, and basically treat them like an independent country. And this charade keeps the peace -- China saves face, and Taiwan remains free. Everyone queefing about the current "tension" needs to realize we do this dance every few years. China had a stoke when Alex Azar went to Taiwan in 2020 as well. There's no comparison to Ukraine, which is a sovereign nation that is recognized by us and the rest of the world.
August 2, 20223 yr Good summary Vikas. one additional thing though - Taiwan is an island. China has traditionally not had much of a navy, while the U.S. has had the most powerful navy in the world.
