I would guess that the graphic is supposed to show percentages of people who trust the given news sources.

Either way, color me skeptical. Even some percentage of MAGA idiots find Fox untrustworthy. No way 41% of the nation views Fox as a trustworthy news source.

As for the total being over 100%, it depends on the question / format, as they may not have had answers that were mutually exclusive. Often times, questions with several options allow you to choose more than one answer rather than asking you to select only the most applicable answer.

That’s what it says at the bottom of that paper.  Multiple answers could be picked when asked which news is watched, then which of the news watched do they trust.

Not sure why The Lincoln Project didn’t read that.
