Wentz was cheap last year and he isn't going to ever see 130 million. After that serious head injury that ended his season again it's time to hedge. Taters don't have to get it.

The first Eagles super bowl MVP was a third round back up. Steal of the draft. Howie's a genius. Foles was busy so Howie went full 3d chess.

Howie said he wants to be a QB factory!

so nice of us to groom QBs for other teams

worst draft pick I can remember...makes no Fing sense whatsoever.

Makes perfect sense if you watched the 130 million dollar franchise super hero end his season with a massive head injury missing the playoff push 3 years in a row. Watching McCown was painful last season.

The guy's allergic to playoffs. Garbage time stats are nice and all but a playoff win would be better. Now we have hope again. Scrubfield is just a guy nobody wants him including the eagles.

Speechless

Hopefully they can find one that likes the playoffs. Then they can trade all the other ones away for all the leagues first rounders.

Super Bowl!

Cyn, c’mon man...

The only thing I can think of is that he's developed and becomes trade bait at a later date.

I get the wanting to have a quality backup given Wentz's issues with staying healthy but I don't put last season on him. If Clowney hit a Mack truck like that it'd shut down.

A head scratcher, for sure.

You're like a battered wife. You want Wentz to change but you love him so much. Year 4 will be different I promise!

Did you see the hit Mahomes took in the super bowl? He got up and went to Super Bowl town afterwards. Wentz is fragile. It doesn't matter if I think it or not. Apparently the eagles do too. They gambled and lost.

I’m fine with having a capable backup, but they used a huge asset (a 2nd round pick) on a position where they already have a starter.

I'm done trying to explain it. Either you get it or you don't. It's certainty anything but a mystery...

They don't give them away Dave. If you want one you have to pay. And they have one, until they don't like the last 3 years in a row.

Any injured guys or Canadian firefighters on the board here?

I’ll be fine with this pick if they win the Super Bowl (with either QB).

A fast set of LBs and this kid has BARELY played football

Taylor was raised as a Seventh-day Adventist and Friday nights were for watching Christian programming and Bible studies while Saturdays were for church. Taylor dreamed about playing football and was allowed to play two games during his senior year because of early kickoffs.

Oh good a developmental project

Oh ok so let’s just take a QB who apparently sucks at the position when we just signed our franchise QB to an enormous extension. IT MAKES NO SENSE

Because he isn't going to play qb.

Yeah we could have taken the guy who literally was afraid of being in the city.

We are drafting like we have no needs. They are like well we are such a solid football team we can take a project QB in the 2nd to develop for trade bait because we have literally 0 holes.
