May 27, 20214 yr I’m waiting for the Ertz situation to resolve itself but that seems right. We will probably have over 70 million in dead cap next year. oh, and that number is for only 43 people under contract so it’s going to be tight again. (All the more reason to stock up on 2022 picks)
June 6, 20214 yr Prayers for Grimey Quote Eagles rookie Trevon "Grimey" Grimes undergoes knee procedure | What it means for wide receiver depth chart Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Trevon Grimes, or Grimey as he likes to be called, recently underwent a procedure on his knee.Provided by Philadelphia Eagles Zoom The Eagles’ wide receiver depth chart is a little light during the offseason program. Undrafted wideout Trevon Grimes, AKA Grimey, recently underwent a knee procedure, a person with knowledge of the injury told NJ Advance Media on Thursday. Grimes’ injury is not believed to be serious in nature, the person said. Grimes was signed after going undrafted in May. He previously starred at the University of Florida after transferring from Ohio State in 2018. Grimes played under Eagles quarterbacks coach Brian Johnson with the Gators. Johnson was Grimes’ offensive coordinator at Florida. Grimes tore his left ACL during his senior season of high school at St. Thomas Aquinas. It’s unclear if the recent procedure is related to the previous injury. During Grimes’ three-year stint with the Gators, he collected 97 receptions for 1,444 yards and 14 touchdowns. Grimes will compete for a job within the Eagles’ crowded wide receiver depth chart this summer in training camp. That group is led by first-round wide receiver DeVonta Smith, Jalen Reagor, Travis Fulgham and Greg Ward. Grimes, listed as 6-foot-4 and 223 pounds, will compete with J.J. Arcega-Whiteside, Quez Watkins, John Hightower, Khalil Tate and Jhamon Ausbon for a depth spot in the preseason. Correction: The original post stated that Grimes tore his ACL as a freshman at Ohio State. He actually suffered the injury during his senior season of high school.
June 6, 20214 yr Every off season our WR corps is a strength. Then, oddly, during the season, it’s not.

June 10, 20214 yr Bad news for team Grimey Quote Philadelphia Eagles waive injured WR Trevon "Grimey" Grimes After building a buzz following the NFL draft, the Trevon "Grimey" Grimes experience appears to be over in Philadelphia after the Eagles waived the injured wide receiver. Grimes, or "Grimey" as he likes to be called, is out in Philadelphia after he suffered a knee injury that required a knee procedure and could require the talented wide receiver to miss time. A two-year starter at Florida, Grimes logged 100 receptions for 1,464 yards and 14 touchdowns.

June 21, 20214 yr When does training camp start. Now that the Sixers flamed out in the second round yet again, and the Phillies suck as usual, I need a new Philly sports team to make me miserable.

I wish they would keep this basketball schedule permanently. Start around Christmas, and if your team is good (which ours is NOT), it takes you right into Eagles training camp and there is no June sports boredom.
June 22, 20214 yr First he missed a day of camp because he didn't have shoes that fit him and now this. Giants absolutely panicked when we traded up to get Smith. Shortly after the New York Giants selected Florida wide receiver Kadarius Toney in the first round of the 2021 NFL draft, reports of some alleged "red flags” arose. Among those "red flags” were Toney’s rap aspirations. Several executives and scouts questioned Toney’s commitment to the game of football, fearing that he might be more interested in a recording career
June 22, 20214 yr Quote The Football Team would eventually win, and the Giants were pissssssed at the Eagles' blatant tanking. I would be pissed too, in the same way I get frustrated when I'm in 10th place in Mario Kart, and I get triple bananas instead of something like an invincible star. In the moment, I might yell something like, "Oh GTFOH with these triple bananas!" but I would never hold a press conference afterward to **** about why I was entitled to the invincible star when I was the one who was responsible for being in 10th in the first place. Joe Judge definitely ****es about getting triple bananas to his family at the dinner table.
June 23, 20214 yr Quote I mean, signing Ryan Fitzpatrick to be your starting quarterback feels a lot like winning a gag trip to Delaware on Let's Make a Deal. Also Quote 7) They used a fifth-round pick to draft a long snapper The Football Team drafted a long snapper in the sixth round. In case you're unfamiliar, the long snapper is the guy who snaps the ball on field goals and punts. The name of this long snapper that Washington drafted is Camaron Cheeseman. Washington actually traded their fifth-round pick in 2022 to take Cheeseman, who again, snaps the football on field goals and punts.

If someone told me after the fact that we had used a 5th rounder on Mike Bartrum or Jon Dorenbos, I wouldn’t bat an eyelash.
