He's one of my favorite Eagles of all time, but this is just sad to watch at this point.

what's with so many players switching to single digit uniform numbers this season...is that a thing?

Yeah, rules changed so positions don’t need to be in specific number groups anymore

If only Miami had lost as well today this would have been perfect day for Eagles

Where on offensive line. Landon Dickerson and Driscoll showed potential. O line is always a priority but not as high.

Kelce, Brooks and Johnson will need to be replaced over the next couple of years. Brooks is 32, Kelce will be 34 and Johnson is 31. Dickerson hasn't played a game yet. He can play either G/C to fill one hole if he is capable. But that still leaves two or three spots depending how you feel about Seumalo. They may not need to spend high draft picks on the offensive line but they should probably look to invest in drafting a couple more guys at some point.

I think Dickerson is going to be a stud if he can stay healthy but that's a big if. I think they can pick up a mid round guy and look to develop him because Stoutland is that good. But other than that yeah they are going to have to invest in this OL. Mind you Driscoll played well last year but he's struggled with staying healthy and now he's on IR so that's a worry.

The elephant in the room is Dillard. Maybe they can move him inside to one of the guard spots or he can flip and play RT. It's looking more and more likely that he is a bust, but if he can fill one of those holes that could also be a huge plus.

I don't think I'd class him as a bust that's the thing. Do I think he's a stud? Probably not no but when he was on the field during his rookie year he looked good. He's since missed a year due to injury but when he's been on the field he's not been a bust.

If Ereck Flowers can move inside and become a competent gaurd, there is hope for Dillard.

The Eagles began the campaign with a 32-6 road win against the Atlanta Falcons with Hurts putting up a stat line that hadn’t been accomplished in an NFL season-opening game in records dating to the 1950 season.

The former Alabama standout completed 27-of-35 passes for 264 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions and ran for 62 yards on seven carries.

Hurts became the first player to reach those figures in passing yards, touchdown passes and rushing yards in a season-opening game.

San Francisco 49ers quarterback Steve Young had been the only player on record to open an NFL season with at least 250 passing yards, three TD passes and 50 rushing yards. Young started his third straight All-Pro season by throwing for 308 yards and four touchdowns and running for 51 yards in a 44-14 victory over the Los Angeles Raiders on Sept. 5, 1994.

The Belichik tree hard at work again

Imagine how mad Giants fans are, especially towards the Eagles right now:

-Eagles tank the last game of the year which handed the division title to the WFT. If the Eagles had won, the Giants would've been in the playoffs as 6-10 division champs.

-The above tank leads to the #6 overall pick for the Eagles. This allows them to move around the draft board, ultimately ending up at 12th overall with an extra first next year in hand.

-The Eagles cuck the Giants by trading up with Dallas to select DeVonta Smith who the Giants desperately wanted. Seriously, read that again. It's beautiful. The Giants trade down for an admittedly nice haul from the Bears and take Kadarius Toney. The Eagles got to F the prom queen (Smith) while the Giants had to settle for a teethy BJ from a chick with an obvious meth addiction (Toney).

-Devonta Smith has 6 catches for 71 yards and a touchdown in his NFL debut. Kadarius Toney has 2 grabs for negative two yards and no touchdowns. Deep down Giants fans know that Daniel Jones is garbage.

-The Eagles new coaching staff already looks infinitely more competent than Joe Judge... another turd dangling from the Belichick coaching tree. Deep down Giants fans know this guy is garbage.

They hate us right now. Bigly.

They should also be mad because they root for the Giants

And another reason to hate us. The absolute regular season ownage since the turn of the century.

2000s (Eagles, 13–10)

2010s (Eagles, 16–4)

2020s (Tie, 1–1)

This allowed us to quickly flip what appeared to be an insurmountable lead (given the timeframe) by them in the head to head series

Damn, the 2010's were a straight up massacre. An .800 winning % over a 10 year period isn't exactly a small sample size. That's just a decade of pwnage.

Well that was fun seeing everyone on our team on the same page again.

22 - Indianapolis Colts (LW: 20) - The Colts lost but apparently it’s not Carson Wentz’s fault. All blame goes to the offensive line. Even though everybody said Indy had one of the best blocking units in the league prior to the season. And even though Wentz held on to the ball the fifth-longest of any Week 1 quarterback. And even though PFF graded the Colts’ offensive line 17th in pass protection as opposed to one of the very worst. And even though Wentz was graded 26th out of 30 quarterbacks. And even though Wentz fumbled for the 60th time in 70 career games. Definitely not his fault at all.

🤣

New Orleans Saints have eight members of organization test positive for COVID-19, sources say

The New Orleans Saints have had eight members of the organization test positive for COVID-19, calling into question their status for Sunday's game against the Carolina Panthers, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The total includes six offensive coaches, one player and a nutritionist, according to a source.

The Saints placed wide receiver Michael Thomas on the reserve/COVID-19 list Tuesday. Thomas, who is currently on the physically unable to perform list, is not eligible to return to practice until Week 7 at the earliest. Thomas has been doing his rehab in Fort Worth, Texas, with the team, which has been practicing at TCU's facility after being displaced by Hurricane Ida.

For now, the entire team is operating under the NFL's enhanced mitigation protocols, meaning mandatory masking inside facilities, daily testing, no in-person meetings and grab-and-go meals.

Speaking to WWL Radio in New Orleans on Tuesday, Saints general manager Mickey Loomis confirmed that the team is dealing with some COVID cases and enhanced protocols but didn't share many specifics. He said the Saints have a coach in Sean Payton who does a great job dealing with adversity, adding, "We'll handle it."

If they are asymptomatic, vaccinated players and personnel can return when they provide two negative test results 24 hours apart, per NFL protocols. Unvaccinated players and personnel who test positive must isolate for at least 10 days.

Payton said during the summer that the team's coaching and personnel staffs were 100% vaccinated.

The Saints play Sunday at 1 p.m. ET at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte. They played their Week 1 home opener at Jacksonville's TIAA Bank Field, beating the Green Bay Packers 38-3.

that’s a shame

I did some quick and dirty math (I.E. was flipping between two sites on my phone with my left hand because I was bottle feeding baby girl) but it looks like we will save around 10 million net (13 rolls over but Cox’s cap hit goes up 3) in 2022 (assuming it doesn’t get used for an extension on another player) and pushes about 8 into 2023. These are seriously rounded numbers I did in my head so don’t quote them but it’s in the ballpark.
