October 12, 20214 yr https://www.crossingbroad.com/2021/10/lane-johnsons-absence-is-due-to-a-complicated-family-matter.html Maybe this was already discussed here.. I haven't been on much. Any ideas what the deal is? They are saying complicated family matter which made it sound like something domestic.. but also elude to a medical issue. What are the rumors?

There's been very little that's come out about it, surprisingly. Lots of speculation that he may not play another snap this year.

I mean I don't think Sirianni helped with that speculation did he? It is known that he wears the number of players who are out for the year...

October 12, 20214 yr Yeah - he addressed that, and said that it didn't necessarily mean he was done for the season but that he and the organization fully support him. Just a weird situation.

Just a weird situation. This is one of the down sides of professional sports. While I hope everything in his personal life or family is okay, if you or I have some personal life emergency, we don't have millions of dollars sitting in the bank. So we still show up to work every day, perform our respective jobs up to the standards expected of us, and still juggle our personal lives. But athletes have so much money (or the new fun word in the world, "privilege") that they can just bounce or go all Kyrie Irving because they are starving or struggling to keep the lights on by skipping out on their job responsibilities.

If you learn how to save money, you can take time off your job....

More power to them. If Lane's having a serious problems with one of his kids, then I completely agree with his decision, and wish them all the best.

I think most people would. There are more important things than football and family is definitely one of those things

October 15, 20214 yr I’m surprised that Jonathan Gannon’s parents let him stay out this late on a school night.
