I think he’s still got productive years left but with the emergence of Goedert the last couple of years his role and importance here had diminished and didn’t warrant his salary. Great player, but a wise football move for the team. Interested to hear from @paco how this impacts the cap situation.

Not paco but Cards took on his remaining salary so I believe it frees up 5 million or so this season. Not sure if that can be rolled into next years cap if it goes unused. That's his dept.
October 15, 20214 yr Sooooooo.......does Tay Gowan help? A decent CB would be great, but we really need linebackers. Lots of them.
October 15, 20214 yr I'm not mad at it. Nelson and Maddox are both up for new contracts at the end of the year. Gowan's on a fresh rookie deal and if we can't keep one or both of them, we'll need someone cheap and locked in for a few.

I’m sitting in the family room watching the game on Prime on my phone because Comcast screwed up having our service start today. Our "forever” home. Quotes because I like to move and paco doesn’t. when's the housewarming party?

I’m in the middle of finishing up a move and getting our old property ready to rent, so of course the ONE transaction I was anticipating to happen before I project 2022 goes down now. short story, helps us out cap wise long term. But remember those rumors of the Bills offering a 2nd or a 3rd in the spring….. Howie got greedy and got burnt

Oh, we both had moments of "crap, we are in the old neighborhood any more” moments already. mine had to do with not having clothes unpacked and dogs needing to go out so my only option was an old stained bathrobe with many, many holes

October 18, 20214 yr Good news Quote PHILADELPHIA -- Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson is returning to the team after a two-week absence to address his mental health. "I would like to thank everyone for their understanding and support over the last two weeks," he wrote on social media. "I appreciate the positive notes and messages as I've worked hard to restore my personal life. Depression and anxiety are things I've dealt with for a long time and have kept hidden from my friends and family. If you're reading this and struggling, please know that you are not alone. "I am excited to re-join my teammates and coaches. I'm grateful for the entire Eagles community and look forward to continuing to play in front of the best fans in the world."
October 18, 20214 yr Quote Eagles right tackle Lane Johnson is returning to the team after a two-week absence to address his mental health..... i'm not a psychiatrist but i don't think his returning to the Eagles at this time is good for his mental health.
October 18, 20214 yr Yeah, watching them makes me depressed. I can’t imagine how bad it must be playing for them.
October 18, 20214 yr Or look at it this way - they’re making millions of dollars to absolutely suck at their job
