The fact Howie's cap management style forced them to make moves just to trim 1.X million to get under the cap is bad. Being that said, I'm not going to queef about this: 1) This is clearly a "cap management maneuver". Yes, they had to trim a little less than 2 million to get under the cap, but forgetting that for a minute, this was done explicitly as a "slush" fund in case we need to sign someone off the street to replace an injured started. Anything leftover will be rolled into next years cap. So, poor cap management that they had to do this in the first place, but this move in itself isn't egregious. 2) I find it f'n hilarious that I (jokingly) called Elliott being the one to get restructured to get under.

September 9, 20223 yr Hot take: The rams will be a bottom five team either next year or the following. 1) They looked OLD last night. It felt like they gave 110% just to keep up in the first half and completely ran out of gas in the second. 2) They have not had a first round pick since they took Goff in 2016. And they don't have one next year. Which is probably why point 1 is a thing. 3) Their cap is.... concerning. Next year they are only $6 million under (plus $4 million roll over and however the cap increases) with 40 players signed. Not great but could be worse. But then the following year they only have 20 million in space with only 28 players rostered. 2nd worst between the Saints (who are a mess) and the Browns (who went all Watson). The Eagles, for compairson, have 48 million with 37 players. And they are only 4 spots better. By contrast 2/3s of the league has over 90 million or more to play with in 2024
September 9, 20223 yr Rams looked like ass. The Bills destoryed their o-line and Stafford looked rattled. He also had Kupp blinkers no run game. Welcome to Detroit 2.0
September 11, 20223 yr Looks like another record setting season for most rushing attempts and yards by a quarterback
