March 8, 20232 yr and I know he got injured and but I think maybe we’re overstating his importance because of all the early INTs

(I’m aware of the stats and rankings) I don’t know if it was scheme or players or what it was. I thought defense would be getting a soft reboot when Gannon left. Maybe what it needs is a hard reset. im not going to make the mistake of thinking howie didn’t see this coming and doesn’t have a plan

March 11, 20232 yr $6 million. Seems like a pretty good deal?
PHILADELPHIA -- Veteran defensive end Brandon Graham has agreed to terms on a one-year deal to stay with the Eagles, declining to enter free agency out of loyalty to the organization, he told ESPN on Friday.
March 12, 20232 yr I'm having a look at Edge Rushers on Over The Cap for 2022. The Sweat and Reddick cap numbers are 3.8 and 3.6 million a piece which is insane value. They go up to about 7 mill and 6 mill a piece in 2023. TJ Watt and Myles Garrett are 29 million each... I'd say a pretty solid deal for Graham where he is also taking a paycut and could have made in the 10 mill range by going somewhere like the Browns
March 14, 20232 yr If he stays healthy, he can ball. (he won't be wearing the number in that photo, though)
March 15, 20232 yr So is Boston Scott. I was expecting the Giants to give him 10 years, $50 mil and immediately IR him.
March 15, 20232 yr
The Philadelphia Eagles plan to release five-time Pro Bowl cornerback Darius Slay, sources told ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday. The Eagles and Slay could not work out a restructured contract, and Slay will be a free agent at 4 p.m. ET on Wednesday, the sources said. The Eagles also had allowed Slay's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, to seek a trade before deciding to release him. Slay, 32, was entering the final year of his three-year, $50 million deal. He was slated to make a base salary of $17 million in 2023 with a cap hit of more than $26 million, per Spotrac. Slay's release is being designated as a post-June 1 release, a league source told ESPN's Tim McManus, allowing the Eagles to spread the dead cap money over the next two years. Slay appeared to confirm the news, tweeting: "Nothing but love Philly!! Lets see where we heading next.." The Eagles acquired Slay from the Detroit Lionsin 2020 in exchange for a third- and a fifth-round pick. He has made the Pro Bowl each of the past two years and had three interceptions and 14 passes defensed this past season. He was a key part of a defense that led the league in pass defense (179.8 yards per game), helping Philadelphia to a 14-3 regular-season mark en route to an appearance in Super Bowl LVII. The Eagles will have a completely new look on defense in 2023. Starters Javon Hargrave (San Francisco 49ers), T.J. Edwards (Chicago Bears) and Marcus Epps (Las Vegas Raiders) have agreed to sign elsewhere as free agents, and they still have a number of contributors who are free agents, including defensive tackle Fletcher Coxand safety Chauncey Gardner-Johnson. The Eagles did agree to re-sign starting cornerback James Bradberry and defensive end Brandon Graham, however.
