Add in the fact that foles is a likable guy that players can rally around and you get what we got. A unlikely super bowl victory against a dynasty.

Foles winning a SB for Philly is the plot of Slumdog Millionaire. The stars aligned, and the story was already written against a QB that threw for over 500 yards. He made some of the most beautiful throws that game that I've ever seen............almost like he already knew the answers to the test!

But ill add that even with the all the yards in the air (both qbs) we dont win without the philly special where foles sold it perfectly with great deception and huge balls (4th down in the sb where a fg would have been the logical route). But, like you said, foles knew the answers to the teat and doug knew fg’s wouldnt be enough
September 7, 20205 yr Not sure if it's just a product of the times, but I'm feeling pretty pessimistic about the Eagles this year. I just think we're pretty vulnerable on the OL which isn't good considering our quarterback seems to be an injury waiting to happen. Our linebackers are a gigantic question mark, and I really hope our defensive tackles can get pressure up the middle, because our outside pass rush looks underwhelming AF. Final Record: 5-7 Season cut short due to COVAIDS team/league-wide outbreak. MVP: Patrick Mahomes Best Record: KC Chiefs (11-1) Still Sucks: Dallas

My pessimism lies completely with injuries. I just don't trust this team anymore with the ridiculous amount of injuries to key positions year after year, including when we won the SB. I definitely think the continuity of the coaching staff, QB, and team in general will be a huge advantage to the Eagles this season (at least in the division). I'm also very optimistic to watch Carson with actual weapons and speed on the outside. He had it for 1 game his entire pro career.

September 7, 20205 yr Just hope the Eagles can and will thrive. As really Carson hopefully will do well in 2020.

September 9, 20205 yr I'm calling it now.... ....by seasons end we look at the Slay signing as a mistake. He will not perform anywhere near the contract we gave him.

Yeah...because Darby and Mills still weren't getting torched giving them that cushion. Could you imagine if they missed a jam in press? WR would be 30 yards ahead of them instead of 20.

I don't see how that can remotely be possible given how bad our corners have been. If these corners can't cover, then I'm starting to believe it's a system wide issue and Schwartz can go.

By not jamming them, you aren't wasting energy.... energy you will desperately need to catch up to the WR after you bit on his fake.
