September 17, 20241 yr I called that before the snap. It's not they lost, it's that they lost playing like trash.
September 17, 20241 yr Huff's uniform is accurate. Smith is a bust. And they never should have traded Davis and Carter.
September 17, 20241 yr well, while the game sucked, the tailgate was epic as usual. hanging with kelce and eating some smoked gator with him made the day.
September 17, 20241 yr Some post game thoughts Outside of that drop Barkley was amazing. If he keeps playing like this he will be worth every dollar they pay him. Hurts started slow but once he found some confidence running the ball he looked fantastic. The interception to end the game is a little worrying, he did get hit just after he threw the ball, but that was an ill advised throw in a key moment. He had the game ending interception vs the Seahawks last season and I feel like I am missing another (Cards was Hail Mary). He was awesome the first half of last year in clutch situations but he fell apart down the stretch with the rest of the team. Hopefully it doesn't become a trend. Covey looked like he could be a capable slot WR and provide them another weapon. Calcaterra looked alright catching a couple of balls but was blown up trying to run block a few times. Meanwhile Dotson was basically invisible and Wilson was a walking penalty. The refs are calling so many minor infractions on offensive line. The ineligible man down field calls were there, but it feels like they have been harsher on the line this year. There were a number of big plays called back and they need to tighten up to how the game is being called. The D-line has been a huge disappointment. They can't get any pressure on the QB and they have been no help stopping the run. Huff is tracking to be a FA level bust of Nnamdi proportions Dean and Baun have been better than expected at LB'er. If they keep playing like they are they'll be more than okay there. Mitchell has flashed and he is definitely going to be a player. CJGJ is so inconsistent. He had that amazing tackle on the 4th down stop but then he had the awful coverage and missed tackle on the Mooney TD. Slay pissed me off at the end of the game, the coverage on the London TD was non existent and he was too busy trying to cause the turnover instead of cover his man and got caught ball watching on a critical play. You expect better from a vet. The whole TD drive was frustrating and after the big completion down the sideline it almost felt inevitable that they were going to choke this lead. It is unfortunate because they really had the chance to stand up and win the game after a pretty solid day before that long TD drive. They were gashed by the Falcons in the run game (although I think Robinson had 70 yards in the first half and 20 in the second) and coming up against Kamara next game may not be pretty.
September 17, 20241 yr Fangio is a fraud Davis is a fat useless piece of sheet Huff and Sweat are trash Nolan is a bust Slay should've been gone 2 years ago Qb1 sheet decision making and turnovers are starting up become funny Team sucks. Defense blows deek
September 17, 20241 yr Apparently our dawgs were neutered. Zero pass rush. Still, once again, this loss is on Siriani. The dropped pass on our last drive alone cost us the game. Sure, Barkley should have caught it, but the play never should have been called in the first place. He has learned nothing from last year.

If they run the ball and don't convert they still had enough time to go down the field and score. The throw on third down was the right play call, the players need to execute a simple throw and catch

September 18, 20241 yr With the amount of time on the clock you can treat it as a 3rd and 2 and not 3. Get two yards, burn time, then tush push to end it. Also on that last throw Hurts was locked in on that side of the field. He might as well have just told the Safety ahead of time where it was going because it was so obvious. The dude is incapable of taking a check down. Also you absolutely take points when you can. Don’t go for it in 4th if you don’t have to. Siri needs to go. Dude is a fraud.

Run the ball, burn the clock. That's taught in coaching 101.

The flip side is that Barkley was wide open and if he makes a simple routine catch it is game over and likely six points. I don’t mind being aggressive there with a play that is that high percentage where if it isn’t there Hurts can eat the ball and keep the clock running. You can’t be afraid of your players executing fundamentals.

Or the defense that couldn’t stop them from marching down the field. I mean there were even any difficult plays for the falcons to make on that last drive. Absolutely pathetic effort.

Fangio defenses limit the big play and rely on holding teams in the RedZone. They were good at that this game. They let up 6 points in the first half. This team is supposed to be one that smothers you with offensive pressure and holds you to field goals. If we go up 14-6 at the half and then 21-9 in the third, this is a much different game. The falcons get one dimensional, we sustain a couple long scoring drives and this game is out of hand with 4 minutes left in the 4th
September 20, 20241 yr Watching the Pats/Jets. Are defensive players allowed to run straight at the QB like that? Not familiar with that.
September 20, 20241 yr Take every over you can on Alvin Kamara this week. He may set the all time single game record for yards from scrimmage.
