September 28, 20205 yr I ended up leaving home at half time and we took the kids on a bit of a hike and then visited some of the wife's family. Normally this is a total no-go on football Sundays, but with the Eagles looking like complete dog sheet this year, I wasn't about to put the kibosh on anything like that. I left my phone at home and everything and didn't see the game result until just a few minutes ago. Looks like I made the right decision.

September 28, 20205 yr Author Lurie needs to clean house. Roseman should be the cap guy. He shouldn't be in charge of the draft. Doug shouldnt be the OC. His playcalling is atrocious. It almost feels like they are actively throwing this season and throwing wentz under the bus. An NFL coaching staff can't seriously be this incompetent. Then to just punt knowing the game would end in a tie. You can't seriously be just comfortable taking the tie when you're 0-2. This season is over. The window is closed. This team needs a massive overhaul. We have no choice.
September 28, 20205 yr As soon as that piece of glass Ertz pulled a freddie mitchell and thanked his hand....
September 28, 20205 yr Schmoopie and I had it recorded and started watching around 3:30. thank god we went the DVR route and fast forwarded through the down time. Rip that f’n band aid right off

September 28, 20205 yr As I said in another thread, Howie is over rated as a cap guru. 31 other teams all stay within the cap and some of them even remain competitive more often than not. Howie just has no more redeeming qualities. Time to move on.

September 28, 20205 yr The Metcalf debacle isn't even a case of hindsight. At one point there was talk of him being a top 10 pick and the first WR off the board. Teams were scared off a bit and he slipped, but there's absolutely no way he should have lasted till the end of the 2nd round (and certainly no reason why he should have been picked after JJAW). There were people here banging the table for him with one of the Eagles' 2nd round picks. It's just a case of extremely poor talent evaluation by the organization.
