January 18, 20214 yr Why would anyone want McDaniels as a coach for this team? Have they not been paying attention for the last decade? The BB coaching tree has been awful and McDaniels was a complete dbag with the Broncos and then pulled that crap with backing out of the Colts job.

How many HC jobs has that guy accepted, only to renege on days later?

January 19, 20214 yr Yeah as in the assistant coaches that I thought should had been HC. Like that over in the now retired player and retired coach Dick LeBeau never got his chance.
January 20, 20214 yr I'm at the point where I'd be fine with hiring McDaniels. If he's a giant d-bag that hasn't learned from his Denver disaster, then they fire his ass by the end of year two. Maybe you get lucky that he's actually grown up and they end up with a good coach. The way I see it, we're pretty much Fed anyways with the cap situation and overall lack of talent.

He's going to want control of a lot of aspects short of personnel (assuming he controls the 53). I'm fine with that. That's part of the reason he backed out of the Colts job and why the Browns didn't pick him. He wants control of the analytics etc...The less Howie at this point the better imo.

We're gonna have a roster full of high character, non-explosive team 1st guys while the DK Metcalfs and Tyreke Hills of the world will catch 4+ TDs against us on Sundays.

So you did your research.

The Giants finished 6-10 and had a cry they missed the playoffs. The Dolphins had a decent record but cost themselves by playing Tua over Fitzpatrick. The players were even confused why Tua was playing. The Eagles are in a full rebuild. The issue is they have Howie making the picks and signing players to deals. They're going to have to succeed despite Howie being a potential anchor. They need a bridge coach and McDaniels isn't the guy.
