Considered "filthy" and author has an "anti business" attitude. I think i'm mistaken, that one was banned in Indiana and Alabama, not sure about Florida.

Why was it moved to the middle school section? What specific content was so objectionable for kids K-5?

This, apparently, is the complaint form filed by a parent that was actually heeded by the district. Oprah!  If I didn't know any better, I'd say the district mistook satire for a legitimate complaint.

Yeah I don't know - I was just posting that part to show that it wasn't banned, at least not according to the school. Reading through it, it may be a bit deep for kids that young to understand, but it's not offensive

I don't know mike, the complaint that Oprah Winfrey have indirectly included "hate massages" on pages 12-13 is pretty convincing. Better move it out of the elementary school section just to play it safe.

There's a 0% chance that those books are banned in schools statewide.

Here's an index of what is banned where. They aren't all Florida (my mistake). Handmaid's Tale (which my wife had to read in her all girl's catholic high school back in the day) seems pretty universal in red states.

We really need to stop dumb people from having this much influence. This request should have been thrown straight in the trash.
