Without gps.

Worth noting that last week about 500 men, women and children died, when an old fishing boat laden with refugees sank off Greece, there's pretty solid evidence that the Greek authorities knew it was in trouble but didn't lift a finger until it was too late.

Yet here we are a week later and 5 rich guys, are stuck in one of only 5 vehicles that can reach the depth they're at and they've got the coast guards of 2 countries, the navy of a third plus the private sector trying a rescue that pretty much everyone involved knows requires a miracle.

Funny old world.

The sub could have surfaced, and the poor buggers are flopping around in the high seas waiting to be spotted. Apparently there are fail safe methods that should auto-return it to the surface.

Supposedly they are picking up banging sounds possibly coming from the submersible

Where's Bailey when you need him?

Seems like a gang bang would use up the oxygen faster but I guess if you are going to go, you may as well go out banging.

Missing Titanic Sub Once Faced Massive Lawsuit Over Depths It Could Safely Travel To

Court documents reveal a former OceanGate employee had several safety complaints over the tourist submersible—and then he was fired.

If this is true, the port hole was only rated to 1300 feet, that is a pretty serious oversight.

I heard the guidance system, climate controls, etc. are automatically controlled by Tandy's powerful TRS-80 computer.

You gotta have something to look at if you can’t read the EMB while taking a dump.
