This conversation is way too complicated for you. Go back to talking about tobacco chewing and cousin F'ing in another thread.

The one spearheading this reversal, Clarence Thomas, ought to be ashamed of himself, he's the one that received a law degree from Yale and couldn't get a job so he should know. Thomas stated "the law firms he applied to after graduating from Yale did not take his J.D. seriously, assuming he obtained it because of affirmative action", who the F cares how he obtained it, he got it. So what does he do, he cut minority students off at the border by making it more difficult to get into college in the first place. I could walk down through history why minority students are at a disadvantage when it comes to academics but I'll start at the beginning when it comes to African Americans, they wouldn't even let blacks speak in their native language to teach their children. If you jump forward to today, depending on what side of the tracks you live on you're going to get a better education so naturally you're going to perform better academically, the biggest mistake made is to equate academic performance with intelligence. I could give numerous stories I've heard concerning college educated minorities not receiving job offers that they were highly qualified for in favor of less qualified white applicants. Bottom line, you can't depend on those with hiring/admission authority to do the right thing, folks what to hire those that look like them. Almost every corporation in America either has a DEI consortium in-house, a dedicated person or team working DEI in their HR groups, or use outside consultants. Sorry, I'm all for merit-based (admissions, immigration, who gets the job, etc.) systems, not racist ones.

I've posted this before, once the SC (and everyone else) said it was ok for Trump to divert congressionally appropriated funds for his wall, then all bets were off. Biden should literally cut the pentagon budget to pay for this just to make a point (or at least threaten to). This SC is just a political extension of the republican party and its total nonsense making a mockery of our entire system. Im not saying I'm for the Biden loan forgiveness plan. Im saying its bull crap that Trump can do whatever the hell he wants, and a president from the other side can't. It's laughable. These are unelected politicians appointed for life carrying out the wishes of their party. Nothing more. Just pay your debts, commie

Oh, well then the democrats should have brought a constitutional challenge against Trump for diverting money away. Blame democrats then, not the Supreme Court. The Supreme Court can’t decide a case that isn’t brought in front of them. Edit: nvm, fact-checked below

They did. https://www.latimes.com/politics/story/2020-07-31/supreme-court-trump-border-wall-construction The Supreme Court has allowed President Trump to defy Congress and continue to spend more than $6 billion diverted from military funds to pay for the construction of a border wall in parts of Arizona, New Mexico, Texas and California. By 5-4 vote, the justices on Friday rebuffed lawyers for the Sierra Club and House Democrats who sued to challenge Trump’s diversion of funds as illegal and unconstitutional.
July 1, 20232 yr Maybe Dem cities actually cared about their students they wouldn't need affirmative action but 23 Baltimore schools have zero students proficient in math, state test results reveal Baltimore City’s math scores were the lowest in the state. Just 7% of third through eighth graders tested proficient in math, which means 93% could not do math at grade level. But that’s not all. WBFF combed through the scores at all 150 City Schools where the state math test was given. The total acceleration of the executive orders is a huge driver in politicizing SCOTUS. A really bad transformation for the triangle of power. POTUS gains huge power and is fully incentivized to drive SCOTUS politically. SCOTUS turns into a weapon used by the parties and POTUS. Congress power of legal doctrine weakens and the members are driven toward even greater levels of partisan behavior when it comes to legal appointments. The People/Nation suffer.

If you want to demonize everyone who takes advantage of government programs, knock yourself out, the list is long.
