If thats how the players still feel you can only imagine how bitter their fans must be.

It might seem weird though, the whiners blew three chances in the last 4 years, in two of those games they were actually up by 10 and blew it, so why are they the most bitter about losing to the Eagles? Well the answer is obviously lack of respect, they think they should have won if only we didnt knock the f out of their QB. Thats why i hope next time we crush them by 30 pts whoever they have at QB.

Maybe he is just tired of answering questions about that game.  It's obvious that loss is eating away at them with all the comments many of them made (and some continue to make) but they might be having a hard time moving on because the reporters simply won't let them with continued questions about the loss (normally that annoys me but in this particular case I think it is kinda funny just because of the extent of whining from them).

We should be more bitter about the SB loss, considering how the crap field conditions factored into why we lost, lol.  You'd think that losing your starting QB's would make you not care as much, cos you really had no shot anyway? I mean, at least that's how I felt when McNabb was injured in the Carolina NFCCG loss.

I'm so sick of these guys and the media slobbering over the "best roster in football".  The best roster in football that doesn't have a QB?  It's an idiotic claim.  That's like the best rock band with a shite singer.

edit// I think I get it now, 49'ers are The Rush of the NFL.  And their fans are just as annoying.

They aren't alone. Vikings fans are still salty over 2017 too. But as a wise man once said "No one likes us, we don't care."

Supposedly tough players, they're a bunch of soft crybaby whiners

This is how men deal with losing a big game.

They would definitely have beaten the Eagles by double digits if 7th round flyer Brock Purdy hadn't got injured on a perfectly fair sack, by the best defense in the NFL who were famous for the number of sacks they got on the season, on their first drive, because their pass protection would definitely have been way better the rest of the game, if only Brock Purdy had been back there.

Brock Purdy being such an awesome QB that some media people are genuinely predicting a Sam Darnold revival in San Fran.

The IRONY...we have 0 reason to make fun of the 49ers...

You were making excuses of "rigged" BEFORE the game...

Only few here admit the truth, our D played awful at the WORST possible time...that's all that happened. The whiners didn't even have a QB so they are just stuck in the "what-if" looking back...obviously they never had a chance anyway lol

but using the refs / fields conditions as excuses is dumb because it wouldn't have been brought up or would have been laughed at as an excuse if the roles were reversed...

You're arguing about us fans being whiny, but the Eagles players weren't. Fans can be as whiny as they want, and I don't care if there are 49ers fans who are still complaining, but this thread is about the players not being over it, which means you've missed the point.

And you're right, I think our players would've bragged just like the Chiefs players did had the roles been reversed.  I can't say for certain that they (the Chiefs) wouldn't have cried about the field though.

Exactly, the Eagles had no control over field conditions but the 9ers had at least some control over trying to protect their QB.  My issue with the McNabb injury in the 2003 NFCCG was that it was a pretty late hit, not just a routine tackle/sack.

We'll see them again. Beat them again. Let them keep whining. It's therapeutic for soft as butter, left coast, quiche eating crybabies.

Its weird how fast they put down their quiche and try to kill Raiders fans at preseason games.

When McNabb went down in that game the Eagles didn’t cry about it. They went out and got T.O. Too bad it took Reid all that time he needed an actual wide receiver instead of James Trash and Todd Stinkston.

I agree the Eagles had no control over the field or the refs, but the Eagles also understood that they left plays on that field too. The Hurts fumble, the defense letting the Chiefs score wide open red zone tds twice, letting a gimpy Mahomes run for a first down at the worst possible time on a third and long, and Quez Watkins not brining down that catch are just a few of them. The 49ers don’t seem to realize that they left points out there too, but not only that they were basically dominated by the Eagles and the Eagles defensive front outplayed theirs.

While I agree somewhat in principle (especially the Hurts fumble and Watkins catch), the stuff that happened defensively...unfortunately has an asterisk next to it for me.  I'm pretty certain a few more plays would have been made by the defense if they could actually explode off of the snap without slipping and falling.

@RunItBAck You completely miss the point here.

The call on Smith was bizarre and welcomes scrutiny. The call on Smith in the NFCCG was a nothing burger because the idiot 49ers coaching staff could have thrown a review flag.

The field was awful and is still awful and the Eagles had a bunch of speed rushers vs KC having bull rushing Jones.

SF got 2 QBs hurt because they were an inferior team. It was bad scheme, bad protection, and inferior talent that led to those injuries.

No one cheated the 49ers on those injuries. They just sucked and got what teams that suck get, a demolishing.

The league did not force the 49ers to only roster a 5 start lottery winner lucky QB who should have lost the week before (Diggs drop) and a pathetic journeyman nobody backup as their only QBs.

The Eagles fans and the entire football world were right about the turf. The 49ers are wrong about self-inflicted problems.

On top of that 99.5% of Eagles fans are over the loss and just ready to win this year.

99.5% of whiners fans will never be over the NFCCG.

There’s also that punt and return…. I agree that the field was against the Eagles and the refs…. The reason that I can’t give them a complete pass is because the Chiefs played on the same field and the Eagles did not provide their players with the correct cleats.

@EazyEaglez absolutely

As bad as McNabb was in 2004 if LJ does not fumble they might have still won anyway.

If Pinkston drank his pickle juice...

Its never one thing.

Yes, that was devastating as well.  I would normally agree with that, but the reason I don't buy the "both teams played on the field" argument, is that the Chiefs seemed to know in advance and have better cleats already on (pretty suspicious with the turf manager being a lifelong Chiefs fan).  Meanwhile the Eagles seemed surprised by it and were scrambling around trying on different cleats.

I agree, but even with all that the Eagles didn’t play a great game on all sides of the ball. There were still wide open red zone plays where the Eagles weren’t even close to the guy. Overall the Eagles had a whole lot going against them for sure, but they also made a lot of mistakes in all phases that cost them the game.

The Eagles lame DC got 100% pants down beat on the same play twice for wide open TDs.

Siri stuck his finger in our faces and told us we were bad people for not liking that DC.
