I know this isn’t the thread to post this, just not sure what the right one is

sting is coming to a nepa-adjacent venue this november so the wife & i will try to get tickets. i like his stuff w/ the police & his early solo work...can't say i've heard much beyond that though. hopefully he won't bore us with a bunch of more recent stuff.

Wu-Tang’s final concert will be in Philly. I’ve seen them multiple times (once in a small Chinese theater in San Fran that only held 100 people back in 2015), but they were one of my first concerts (I believe ‘97) when they toured with Rage Against the Machine in Camden.  Can’t ever forget it. I was 16 years old and one of the smallest people in the mosh pit for Rage, and someone elbowed me in the head and I woke up 10 minutes later says my friend. 😂

Is this real? Because I want it to be real but I can't find crap else on it.

"Led Zeppelin has announced a reunion tour for 2025 called "The Led Zeppelin Legacy Tour 2025," marking their first extensive live performances since 2007. The tour is scheduled to begin on June 10, 2025, at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles. "

Why would someone put together a new band to tour with to celebrate the anniversary of some of the albums of the band that they currently front? That they’ve fronted for decades?

Just grabbed tickets to see Incubus with Manchester Orchestra this summer - pretty f'n stoked for this one

This show was great - Manchester Orchestra is incredible live. Would have liked a longer set for them and less from Incubus TBH

Daughter and I will be heading down to Richmond next week to see her favorite band. I don't mind the shows at all. We usually try to pick a different place each year.

Here's a link to this brand-new venue. Dave hasn't played Richmond in years, so we thought this would be pretty cool. We also do touristy things while there and I hope to hit Annapolis for lunch on the way back up to the bay cottage.

Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront Upcoming Shows: undefined Event Calendar

Traveled to Indy to see my daughter-in-law's favorite band last night. My first time seeing the Dave Matthews Band.

Excellent show - great energy and great playing - although I only knew the Dylan classic - All Along the Watchtower.

Daughter wants to go to that venue, but it's like Indiana-WTF is there to do? Did you like the venue? Glad you enjoyed the show. He does some other covers like Sledgehammer, Burning down the house, a Led Zeppelin thing too. Watchtower is my favorite though. It's good. Don't hear it much, he changes the set list every night. Another reason why his fans are so into it.

The venue was very nice - the sound from the lawn was excellent. You're right about Indy - but my son and his wife live there, so we just visit with them and enjoy our time together.

Was another good trip. We are shooting for 1 more roadie (hopefully) next year to make it a decade. Daughter posted this elsewhere:

Recapping the annual mom & me @ DMB! It’s pretty sweet to have a music loving mama who embraces traveling, dancing, and making memories! ❤️

2016 - Ma and David flew across the country to the Gorge - literally Heaven’s Amphitheater - for my 30th show for my 30th bday and experienced night 3 of LaborDAVE weekend… on her actually birthday and seeing one of her favorite bands The Lone Bellow as the opener! She loved the Burning Down the House cover and the light show. She’s calls it her Rockstar Weekend.

2018- On her last day of radiation for breast cancer, we encountered many signs that initiated a celebratory trip to Saratoga Springs to see DMB and pamper ourselves at the Spa! We rode the elevator with crew members, saw Buddy, Tim, and Carter getting on their bus and enjoyed a lovely 3 course Dreaming Tree dinner! Her first time hearing Sledgehammer and she went ham! We attended Tailgate Caravan, met some great people, and attended two nights of excellent DMB sets! We enjoyed a spa day and massage and lounging by the pool. On the way home we stopped at the baseball hall of fame and Ommegang Brewery.

2019 - Alpine Valley, Wisconsin. Two nights of DMB. Probably our most adventurous trip to date. On the first night, our bus broke down at mile marker 41 and we hitchhiked to the show with the nicest woman who was traveling alone but for some reason had a whole tailgate set up with booze and food. What an unbelievable story! Mom enjoyed seeing Preservation Hall Jazz Band out on stage with DMB! We attended Summer Fest music festival, met Dashboard Confessional, enjoyed cheese curds and local brews, and randomly ran into my cousin who was in town for business! After the shows we took the ferry from WI to MI across Lake Michigan for a beach day at Muskegon Beach. Amazing trip!

Also 2019: Sea Hear Now Music festival at Asbury Park NJ was so fun! We thoroughly enjoyed Marcus King Band, the Lumineers, and the Dreaming Tree wine stand! Dave played Fly Like an Eagle cover which mom enjoyed and having our feet in the sand with the ocean waves crashing next to us was an awesome setting.

2021 - A trip to Syracuse for DMB, a tour of campus, and lunch at Pastabilities! The rain was relentless and the ponchos did not do their job during the show - we were soaked, but stoked for another show for the books. Watchtower encore made the rain worth it. Following the shows, we detoured to Oswego NY, hiking the bluffs on Lake Ontario, to check off another Great Lake. Free tour of Fort Ontario.

2022- A much needed get away for us both! A hot, hot tailgate in the gravel parking lot and DMB show with a special moment for my dad during Lying in the Hand’s of God. We stayed by a lake and spent a few extra days relaxing and exploring Bethel Woods, the home of Woodstock ‘69 and visiting the Woodstock Museum and a 5 star restaurant- Hennings.

2023 - Queens, NY! New venue for Dave - Forrest Hills - an historic venue for 10,000. Super cool vibes. Mom loved Brick House cover and I loved the unexpected rain storm that prompted a set list change to include JTR! Following the show, we frolicked around NYC taking the ferry as the mode of transportation around the city, 9/11 memorial and visit to Ellis Island. We had awesome oysters and clam chowder at a Fish Market along the river.

2024 - Staycation! With my wedding coming up, Mom attended her first show at our home venue in Camden. Yet another cover - Fool in the Rain - that she loved and danced with our cousins Danielle and Andrew.

2025 - RVA! Two night stand in Richmond. We only had tickets to Wednesday show, but at midnight I scored seats for Tuesday! We got Watchtower as song 6 in the set and she cried during Lying in the hands of God. During our stay, we checked out the Carytown neighborhood and had the best food at East Coast Provisions, visited the Civil War Museum, and walked along the canal. On our way to the bay for the remainder of her vaca we stopped in Annapolis, MD for $1 oysters at McGarveys.

All in all, mom has 12 shows

I have 60 shows

DMB brings us so much joy!

Of course she is doing this Friday and Saturday in Camden, Fanatic. It's been good though, Richmond was flipping HOT. I had ice cubes in my hat and a towel over my head, I really can't take the heat. Can only imagine what is like performing.

That’s awesome Di. We’re taking our girls to see Mumford & Sons on Tuesday. Supposed to be 100 F that day. Hopefully it’s not that hot come showtime.

Mumford & Sons last night. Took the girls for their first concert. Great show. It was 99F when it started and the first hour the heat was absolutely brutal, but they played for over 2 hours straight, and sounded fantastic. As you can see from the first picture our seats were decent, but a little ways back. Then the band came running up our aisle, to a little stage with 1 mic right behind us and harmonized 4 or 5 songs, including The Boxer, which was fantastic with the crowd singing along.
