Unfortunately we have a 2 party system. One party wants to overthrow any election they don't win, uses violence to enforce their ideas, admires our enemies like Putin, Xi, and Kim Jung Un and wants to install a gameshow host as dictator for life. That forces me to support the most reasonable options in the other party.

It's not a great system, but look at the parliamentary systems in places like Italy where they have multiple parties and have trouble keeping a government coalition in power for a reasonable period.  Would have been nice if they listened to Washington from the getgo and simply had all politicians run independent of parties.

  Holy sheet, you said independent

A large percentage of Independents are conservative but have inherent distrust of political parties.  As a general rule, I see most politicians as scumbags - on both sides of the aisle - with exceptions of course.

I would support a system that has dozens of parties that need to find consensus to pass legislation.

The question then becomes whether a system with dozens of parties will be able to find such a consensus.

Why is this a poll?  It's pretty obvious by what people post.

Well its not an ENTIRELY reliable poll.  After all, Alpha lied and said he's a Republican.

I am a registered Republican, as the primaries in CA are closed and I want to vote for a normal candidate. But I barely recognize the insane clown show the GOP has become since 2016.

A large percentage of Republicans are poosays.  Just admit you're in the party.  I know Trump's a rapist criminal but Jesus, if you're gonna vote for him for supreme ruler, at least have the balls to admit you belong to his party.

I was a registered independent up until recently. After Trump got elected and proved he was who you all thought he was, I want the ability to vote in the primaries for a normal human being.  So now I'm a registered Republican.

But I'm not in the party.  I never registered Republican once in my life.  Doesn't mean I don't support them for the most part over Dems, but I was never a registered Republican.  Was a Democrat for years, starting when Rizzo was mayor.

I've been curious about it because of the Trump and Biden threads. Never know if people are trolling or being serious

Or if they're being truthful in their poll responses.

But you've voted for Trump twice and will vote for him again.  You're a Republican.  Doesn't matter how you're registered.  You're just ashamed to admit it.

Meanwhile you're knocking other people for not being truthful in the poll while you lie about your affiliation.

You are too funny

I guess all Rizzo supporters when he was mayor were Republicans in that case even though they were registered Democrats.

You just slandered a majority of the Philly electorate in the 70's.    But yeah, you're really a Republican.
