January 6Jan 6 Another Dow record today. We were told Trumps tariffs were going to crash the market. Looks like it’s quite the opposite

They are up around 7.5% since the start of the year, the other ones mentioned in this thread are up 10, so they might be an even better option. I've been doing well by just buying what members of congress buy.

Her insider trading is what I will miss about her the most.I knew Crenshaw was turning into a big insider. I think he outperformed Pelosi each year for the last few years.

January 29Jan 29 Sounds like Space X IPO may be around June co-inciding with Musk's birthday.Im starting to consider selling CIFR but holding IREN. Staying patient with OPEN.Ive been considering SOFI for a while, and I think Ill buy that with my CIFR sale.
January 29Jan 29 By the way NETFLIX split a little while ago and you can get in for under 100 a share at this point, which is nice.

I see them as pretty well-established now, which means that they need a market advantage for significant stock growth. Do they pay dividends?

Do they pay dividends? Its a hard question to answer when their company does not follow a distinct path. Who knew what growth was ahead for them when they were just delivering DVDs. Reebok could have killed them. But they innovate to stay alive. And thrive.Moved in to streaming. Then in to live sports.Continuing to grow even against so much competition arriving from Amazon, apple, Hulu, etc.Now in to small theme park style locations. To me that's like asking what growth is left for Google, Amazon, and apple. They keep working their way in to new niches or creating new niches we couldnt imagine because things didnt even exist before these companies create them. But they have a proven track record at this point. I suspect they will grow even if you and I see the path forward. Often times these companies just create new paths.

Let's see how things go.My investments are for early retirement which I hope to do in about 9-10 years. So Im hoping a lot of these will really grow over the next decade. I have a lot of safe dividend investments like Coca Cola as well. Far better returns than what you get with a bank. Over the past few years Ive been sending my bonuses into my brokerage account so they'll grow.
January 29Jan 29 Netflix has not done well over the past year so I've avoided it. Nvidia has been really good, and I should have gotten Oklo at 40. My dad, who was a pretty good investor talked me out of it.
February 2Feb 2 Ive lost some patience and trust in OPEN. I still sorta like it, but I was uncomfortable seeing it continue to drop. I set a stop limit order to sell it at $5 and that order executed this morning. Depending on what the sentiment is around the stock if it ever drops to about a dollar or so, I may buy it back and buy even more shares than I originally had. But I got too uncomfortable watching my erode in this one.
