Thought this was a nice video explaining what exactly Bullish is as a company. IPO is today.

More records today

BLSH IPO price $37. Instant rocket to $107. I got in at about 3:30 for 78. Looks like itll close at around $70.

Seems not horrible. Hopefully this is near the bottom of the slide. After hours so far hovering around 71-72

A buddy of mine is making crazy money on cypto, but its not something I want to take a risk on. Good luck with it though.

The most bullish bitcoin people talk as if you can retire in the future with 0.1 or even 0.01 bitcoin.

That's currently 12,000 or even just 1,200 dollars.

Most people who have money to invest can afford a $1,200 gamble and its probably a relatively small gamble in comparison to the rest of their holdings.

I'm only at about 0.01 BTC but I'm continuing to buy in. With very small amounts weekly.

I got both of my kids 0.01 each as well.

If you look in the crypto thread, there is an imo very compelling case to get in right now at the beginning of the "gold rush" which will take place over the next 10 years.

You don't have to spend 120k to go get yourself a full BTC. If you believe in it you'll feel comfortable with much less. If you don't believe in it, you can gamble on much less and luck your way in to a super lucrative retirement.

I dont see much risk even if it were to fail.

Love the numbers but as another poster here once said "they are ripping your dollar in half and telling you that you now have two".

I see where this is heading. There are enough threads to start arguing over the economy in. Lets keep this one for discussing individual stocks and leave the politics out of it. How bout it?

Here's some of my current favorites that are preforming really well (excluding obvious ones like Amazon and Microsoft):

OGIG - ETF that focuses just on global internet giants

GDX - ETF that focuses on gold mining companies (like buying gold but pays a dividend)

SHOP - Shopify

ODFL - Old Dominion Freight Lines

KR - Kroger

LOW - Lowe's

MA - Mastercard

I can see this for people who don't enjoy or understand investing.  But you're leaving a lot of money on the table doing this, especially if you're holding through the big declines like 2008 and 2020.

Here is what made me want to come revive this thread.

Any thoughts on the stocks in this video?

I bought a couple shares if Rigetti yesterday actually. Ive been watching for a while now and everything I read online says its years away and super risky to invest in any of the quantum computing companies right now, but all theyre doing is going up so I figured Im dont watching while I could be profiting. I basically already missed a double up.

Even more interesting to me though are the stocks the guy calls 100 bangers at the end of the video. Any thoughts on those two?

I invested in IREN and CIFR (two stocks he talks about at the end). Since that video IREN is up almost 30%, CIFR just recently turned green. He’s really pushing the open door stock. It feels like a meme stock but he makes some ok points and he nailed the IREN stock. It’s only trading for around $5 a share so might roll the dice and buy 200 shares.

I have had those 2 on my watch list. I may buy after I already missed a big run up! Lol

I saw the opendoor CEO talking crazy numbers. It does sound memeish. I'm afraid he wants to pump and dump. Apparently he has a history of being a fraud. I'm sitting that one out.

IREN crushed their quarterly report, closed at 23 yesterday up to 28 this morning. I bought 100 shares at 17 so my only regret is not buying more. CIFR is up overall 12%. EMJ seems to know what he’s taking about, I did the research on open door and listened to his reasoning, bought 200 shares at 4.25. It’s up a bit this morning but it’s a long term watch and hold for me. If it flops I’m out $800 no biggie. He was all over Carvana when it fell to 51 cents a share (now trades at 382).

Are you saying the same guy that recommended IREN and CIFR also recommended Carvana and Open Door?

Im a little annoyed I didnt buy any IREN or CIFR, but I feel like all I have is techs, and every new stock Im watching happens to be another tech, or an energy company to support the tech (Oklo). I guess this is where all the innovation is currently. I just feel hesitant to buy more speculative tech because I have so much tech already.

Yes…Eric Jackson the guy in that video. Most of my stocks are in tech too. IREN was originally a bitcoin data mining company but pivoted to AI cloud services. They recently partnered with nvidia

"The company announced Thursday that it had secured Nvidia "preferred partner” status and purchased $168 million worth of Nvidia graphics processing units, or GPUs. The move follows the purchase of $193 million worth of GPUs earlier in the week.

Together, the purchases will expand IREN’s AI cloud to around 10,900 Nvidia GPUs over the coming months, the company said. The preferred partner status, meanwhile, strengthens the company’s supply access and helps expand its customer pipeline, said CEO Daniel Roberts on a conference call.

IREN is now targeting $200 million to $250 million in annualized AI cloud revenue by the end of the calendar year, up from just $26 million today.”

Thanks. Didnt know who the guy was. Ill have to start watching him.

Another stock I've largely ignored because, yet another tech is AppLovin. May be a massive growth stock.

David Sharbutt is joining the $BMNR board of directors. Which already boasts Tom Lee.

I dont know who Sharbutt is, but it's in the headlines, and maybe that name means something to someone.

I own a little of the stock because I'm buying the Tom Lee etherium hype.

I sold something and had a little over 100 bucks to play with this morning.

I bought 20 shares of OPEN this morning for $4.20, and it is now $5.13

1 share of IREN at $26.17 and it is now $29.48.

I own about 50 shares of Amazon which hasn’t netted much. Price was down a bit today, going to wait for a decent day, sell high then invest more in IREN/CIFR/Open door. Jackson really likes Upstart, BTQ and ETHA so might throw a little on them too.

I see he is teasing another stock pick that he will release in a few days.
