Today’s gonna be ugly

Q4 might be a big loss. I'm bracing myself.

I've been profit taking and moving a bit into IAUM. Feel like a correction or even a crash is imminent.

I bought some more HBAR and XRP at a nice discount today.

Rumors of a Robinhood/Opendoor partnership. Seems like that would be huge.

I've been thinking today that if Opendoor is successful, it would seem to be a bad thing for $BETR wouldn't it?

Opendoor is poised to be a first mover in the tokenization of real estate. While BETR is selling mortgages.

Opendoor and BETR are slightly different models…I can see them both succeeding once interest rates go down and hopefully the market stabilizes.

SANA biotech only trading at around 6 (just came up with a new single injection diabetes drug) and HUT8 trading around 50 (another bitcoin miner transitioning to AI data center) are Jackson’s latest stocks.

I cant stand drug company stocks. I had Novo Nordisc while the obesity drugs were exploding. It was doing great. But then it tanked. I grew tired of the volatility and I think I ended up selling it at a loss. Now its back to about 20 dollars higher than I sold it for.

There is just so much that affects those stocks. A trial comes out, and if it does well the stock goes up. Sometimes a trial does well, but not quite as expected. Still good results, stock goes down anyway. Then another trial, doesnt do well, stock tanks.

Whats more annoying is how they move in sympathy with each other sometimes. And other times, good news for Lilly meant NVO went down and vice versa.

Then aside from the happenings with the drug companies themselves, there would be changes in insurance coverage policies and things like that that would have a big impact on the stock. So, it relies on other companies as well. And politics in general as healthcare is a political issue.

I loved how 1 drug could treat so many of the most common ailments. Diabetes, obesity and all obesity related illnesses- blood pressure, high cholesterol. Then they even began finding other benefits. Decreased pain with migraines, decreased frequency of migraines, some even said their migraines stopped. Improved pain levels in rheumatoid arthritis...

I mean, I could really see those stocks being unbelievably good over the next few decades as more and more of the population finds use for them. And then expanding throughout other countries. 1 drug, with so many benefits is such an opportunity. Its easy to imagine almost everyone taking them.

I also though the oral version was going to make it even better. Viking Therapeutics is another one with their oral GLP1 that boomed, and tanked.

But I couldnt handle the volatility of that business.

I wont be interested in SANA.

Probably skipping HUT8 since I already have IREN and CIPHR.

Tell me you dont understand biotech without telling me you dont understand biotech…

Its not for me.

years and years ago I had Organovo. They were 3D printing living tissue way in the early stages of 3D printing anything. I dont think that company even exists anymore.

Now, I got burnt on Novo Nordisc. Probably would have been ok to just stay in forever but I lost patience with it.

Is it a trade or an investment?

Short answer is I dont really have a consistent direction. Its a small robinhood account that I do whatever I am feeling at the moment.

Mostly longer term. But I dont intend to waste 20 years waiting for Novo Nordisc to mature while I can be making more money during that time on things like Rigetti

SANA is trading around 5 HUT8 around 48…I’m in for 100 shares each. Grand scheme it’s peanuts and Jackson’s stocks are my most profitable.

I wish 4800 bucks was peanuts! Good for you man!

Keep investing and eventually it will be.

Im not sure about that but thank for the encouragement. Im comfortable with where my 401k is at for a comfortable retirement. But I dont think a lot of money is in the cards before then.

Ill just be happy if I get Robinhood to like 40 or 50k or so by then.

Id be really lucky if any of the lottery ticket type holdings explode. Its gonna take something exceptional probably from crypto or a crypto related stock like BMNR.

BETR is up 31% today. I can’t pinpoint exactly why but no complaints.

pump before a big selloff? I'm considering just taking my 30%.

Wouldn't hurt to protect a decent portion at the very least.

You're not the first to pay that compliment.

It's more than a little creepy that you're the first male to do so.

You keep on dreaming big, lil bro. We believe in you.

I literally require nothing of you.

You have no idea how funny that is at this very moment. 😆

We have finally gotten to the September pullback I guess. A little late. Most days have been rough the past couple of weeks.

Ready for NVIDIA earnings.

I was kind of expecting to lose all of my money on OPEN after how it tanked. Or at least see it drop to like 1 dollar for a while. Its surprisingly back, slightly above what I paid for it.

This is whats driving the rally

  • Up about $1 a share, Opendoor Technologies has been rocketing on news that it will accept cryptocurrency for home purchases.

Coincidentally, I watched this video from a few days ago, earlier today explaining how crypto is transforming the real estate market.
