No there was a DPI on the Vikings not called. Right after they took a td away for questionable holding.

Injuries mattered in this one and they piled on more during the game. Seems like a team trying to figure themselves out and they better get it figured out soon with this brutal schedule. If they go to Tampa and struggle then I think panic time will be well warranted.

we knew that Jefferson and Hoeckensen would feast, blown secondary coverages due to lack of Bradberry, Blankenship and Maddox 

When was the last time an eagle back had more than 25 Carries in a game?  Maybe McCoy in the snow game?  

Swift is clearly a more effective and explosive runner than Gainwell.  He should absolutely be our RB1.

I love swift!  I hope he can stay healthy. That’s the knock on him.  But we need to be a rotational back team….that said, he’s the clear 1.  Penny didn’t show much tonight honestly, but with Boston hurt AGAIN, he’s now default 2.  Which I think should have been the case anyway with gainwell being the change of pace.  Problem is they have no WR that’s a kick and punt returner or they would have 5 WRs and 3 backs.  I think with quez hurt now, we’ll see them add a WR or two. And covey will be gone.  Then we can dress an extra WR and leave Boston on the bench.  

They got the W and are 2-0.  They progressed as a team from game 1 but still have a ways to go.  They had alot of guys out for this game on D and survived.  I will take it.

Kinda criminal how little they used Swift and featured Gainwell against NE.  Just like last year they featured the run game and pounded the Vikings into submission.  Just wish it wouldn't take so long for them to realize their core identity.  Same as last year, they will get better and find more balance and rhythm.

the injuries aren’t helping.  Howie has 10 days to work the phones and bring in help.  LBs and corner help for sure.  I’d also get Sidney brown in the game.  Let him learn the nickel or something but he’s better than jobe.

They should have just watched last year game 1 to know Swift could take over a game

Yea I get that. They should have scored 60. 
Hurts still seems a bit tentative at times and we abandon the run for no reason at times. And our WRs couldn’t get open at times when Hurts had all day to throw against a pretty bad secondary.
Maybe it’s a gelling issue with the OC or there’s still some rust.
