Winning ugly is better than losing pretty.

Hopefully, they figured out their identity tonight. They are a run-first team. Use the run to open up the passing game.

I’ve asked this question repetitively tonight - do you care that Brady put up 600 yards of offense in SB52? Or do you care that we won?

there ARE NO PICTURES ON THE FING SCORECARD!!!!!!  Yes JOE deCRAPera I’m looking at you again.

RPO isn’t a gimmick. The turnovers and issues aren’t because of the RPO concept, it’s because of the designed QB runs, and very strange playcalling that isn’t getting the QB in rhythm. Jalen under threw the first almost TD to DeVonta, if it’s in time he walks in untouched.  Even when Jalen’s running it seems like he’s looking for a cutback instead of getting what he can and sliding. He’s also holding the ball way too long taking horrendous sacks, when he can throw the ball away for free.

Wentz 2.0 vibes all over. This is exactly how he played after ther Super bowl run.

You’re out of your Fing mind

Well let’s stop acting like Swift isn’t the best back of the whole group now. He’s gotta be the guy for the rest of the year now.

Also if teams are really going to play 8 in coverage all game then you have no choice but to run the ball down their throats.

Couple of thoughts:

1. I don't like the way Smith had to come back for that first bomb. Hurts doesn't have the cannon arm us old timers are use to

2. Hurts being our #1 scorer is equal to Cunningham being our #1 rusher. It's just not sustainable

3. Just like last year, we seem to get a good lead, then almost blow it in the end. This is two weeks in a row. Kind of scares me

4. I said a couple of thoughts. It's actually three (or is it four?) I guess that makes for an odd couple.

Hurts definitely didn't seem like himself (as compared to last year).  He failed to see the field and find receivers.  He also wasn't throwing with much accuracy.  But he was much better tonight than he was last Sunday.  So that's something.

Jobe played outside for Bradbury and brown is a rookie safety who wasn't known for his coverage skills in college. I may have read your post wrong though.

I thought Jobe looked decent in his first start aside from getting lost in the sauce on the touchdown.  Goodrich, on the other hand...

This'll sound strange coming from an Eagles fan, but I thought the officiating was pretty good tonight.  I only saw one play to really complain about.  (Missed PI against Brown in the end zone.)

But then I think there was one just after on Evans that they didn’t call so it was pretty even.

It seems like there are less penalties called during night games

The holds on sweat/reddick?

Happy to be 2-0, but this team has a lot of issues right now.

- Offense moved better as a whole, but that was the running game. Hurts still looks frantic in the pocket and seems to be running in sand half the time. He has been missing receivers and locking onto them. Many throws it seems he's made up his mind about where he's going. Not good.

- Defense played okay for stretches, but it's pretty poor, particularly in the middle. Good teams are going to drop 40+ on us at this rate.

- The Vikings turned it over four times and held the ball for almost no time at all in comparison...yet barely lost.

- Injuries

This team has a lot it needs to sort out. Fortunately we've been playing bad teams to start, because competent teams would be killing us with how we've played.

Holding can be called almost every play

Glad to be 2-0. Now they have some time to rest, review, and hopefully come out with a better plan vs TB.

Start with healing up a litttle.

There were hardly any called on the Vikings. Dude basically tackled Brown and there was no call.

I’ve seen him throw perfect deep bombs. If anything he has thrown too far more than too short. Not enough arm strength is total bull.

Yawn. Heard that for way too long now.

First game of the season and then a short week. And we won both. Not scary at all.

Glad to be 2-0. Reminded me of how the Patriots used to play. Brady would struggle but then pull off a win. Vikings playing with a backup center and a decimated line yet Cousins was able to put together drives. Our punting was awful again.

So, no more talk about the RB position being devalued OK??

BTW, Brown needs to get a grip, that complaining about not getting the ball damn near cost the Eagles the game because it seems as though the team catered to his selfishness by turning away from the run game and forcing him the ball.

In Game 1, the offensive line just wasn't doing a good job. For all the people wondering why Gainwell got a majority of the snaps, it's because the coaching staff here really puts an emphasis on blocking and they trust Gainwell. Swift is not as reliable as a blocker and we saw that early on last night. However, this offense was clearly struggling out of the gate this season and last night's home crowd deservingly let the team know they were fed up. Swift was given the ball and was the spark this team needed. It was exactly what the doctor ordered. We began imposing our will and the offensive line began looking like we expect from that group.

Through 2 games, this team has A LOT to work on...

Game plan and play-calling - Need to give Johnson some time as he learns, but other than when they just started running the ball last night, it's been hard to figure out what they are trying to do on O...initial plan of attack, etc. They have looked like they haven't had a "plan" of attack.

Hurts' decision-making has regressed.  Bad decisions on RPOs, took a really bad sack last night that took us out of FG range late in the game, is dropping his eyes early and looking to run, etc.  Not sure if he's "pressing" or just discombobulation with the new OC calling plays.  But, something is off with him.

The defense just can't cover anyone over the middle of the field and short/intermediate areas.  There is always a receiver wide the F open.

We were hugely lucky with the Justin Jefferson fumble and getting the touchback.  Terrible rule, but we were really lucky there.  Also fortunate to get the turnovers we did.

2 weeks in a row we faced an OL with key injuries and our vaunted DL can't take advantage (some of that is thanks to receivers running free almost immediately after the ball is snapped).

Our vaunted OL seems a little leaky in pass protection too.

Exactly, don’t force the ball downfield. I was fine with Swift picking up 7, 8, 9 yards on first down. No defense can handle being on the field all game. They’ll eventually have to bring their safeties up and then we beat them deep.

Being without Bradberry, Blankenship, Maddox and Dean isn't helping the coverage. That's a lot to overcome, but we have managed so far.
