We're missing Sweat and Williams on the defense, and Becton on the offense. Add in injuries to Dickerson and Johnson on the offense, and Carter on the defense. Not only is there a dropoff in starting talent, there's also a dropoff now in backup talent. Eagles traditionally have built along both lines as the strength of the team. Both lines are weaker - considerably so - and it shows on the field. This is the number one reason why the team is not as strong this year.

Mark must have been talking to the girl friends and or wives of other guys at the bar and the dudes spiked his drink. The team has done a great job in the 1st and 2nd rounds. I think I had more fun when we were average. As expectations have risen and we've had success it feels like anything less than a blowout is unsatisfactory. Winning is great. obviously, but success has made following this team (and with this fan base) become more difficult than it needs to be. Yeah, titles are ace. But my goodness, some elements of this fanbase have become so entitled. Are we the late 2000s Pats now?
