The trenches are not as strong this year
Procus ·We're missing Sweat and Williams on the defense, and Becton on the offense. Add in injuries to Dickerson and Johnson on the offense, and Carter on the defense. Not only is there a dropoff in starting talent, there's also a dropoff now in backup talent. Eagles traditionally have built along both lines as the strength of the team. Both lines are weaker - considerably so - and it shows on the field. This is the number one reason why the team is not as strong this year.

Sanchez's drink was obviously spiked
weko ·Mark must have been talking to the girl friends and or wives of other guys at the bar and the dudes spiked his drink. Sanchez left the bar after midnight walked around to the loading dock and randomly attacked a worker there who pepper sprayed him. That didn't stop Mark who violently threw the guy into a dumpster. He was then stabbed and almost died and has no memory of how or where he got stabbed. I reminded both my kids to never leave your drink unattended at a bar. Please do the same f

2023, 2024, 2025 Drafts...Rounds 3 Thru 7
weko ·The team has done a great job in the 1st and 2nd rounds. That said we are not getting any production in the last 3 drafts in rounds 3 thru 7. 3rd round CB Ringo can't cover or tackle. 3rd round S Brown can't cover or recornize. 3rd round Edge Hunt giving us no production at all vs the run or pass No day 3 picks from the last 3 drafts are getting on the field. We got out played today on both sides of the line. Edge rushers can't get to the QB, injured O line can't open holes in the run gam

As a fan...
kiwinavega ·I think I had more fun when we were average. As expectations have risen and we've had success it feels like anything less than a blowout is unsatisfactory. Winning is great. obviously, but success has made following this team (and with this fan base) become more difficult than it needs to be. Yeah, titles are ace. But my goodness, some elements of this fanbase have become so entitled. Are we the late 2000s Pats now?

Hunt & Smith
weko ·Both these guys have been uninspiring so far this year. Now Smith is out. They have to add an edge rusher to the game day roster. Ogbo had a good training camp. Why not give him a shot?

Bad Ending
time2rock ·Bad Ending Posted October 5th, 2025 The Eagles led 10-3 at halftime. They led 17-3 after three quarters. They lost 21-17. Ugh. What a frustrating loss. The Eagles aren’t a team that generally blows leads. They let Tampa come back part of the way last week, but the Eagles made the critical plays and won. On Sunday the Eagles made critical mistakes and lost. Ugh. Let’s start with a big picture view for a minute. The Eagles just went through a really challenging start to the season. I hoped they

time2rock ·Referee explains controversial calls from Eagles' loss to Broncos Referee Adrian Hill explained some of the controversial calls from the Eagles' loss to the Broncos on Sunday. By Dave Zangaro • Published October 5, 2025 Head coach Nick Sirianni did not blame the referees for the Eagles’ 21-17 loss to the Broncos on Sunday afternoon. The Eagles have themselves to blame. "Yeah, obviously, I've been around this long enough where calls, they balance each other out,” Sirianni said. "I know sometim

time2rock ·Week 5 stock watch: Pass game is back, doesn't matter as Eagles lose to Broncos The Eagles did some things right — but more things wrong as they enter losing column for the first time with big blown Week 5 lead. By Evan Macy PhillyVoice Staff Bill Streicher/Imagn Images DeVonta Smith had a big day — his first of the year — in Week 5. The Eagles played a perfect football game back on Feb. 9th. It happened to also be Super Bowl LIX. Since then, fans have expected perfect football and even tho

Roob's Observations: Eagles' deficiencies pile up in brutal loss to Broncos
time2rock ·Roob's Observations: Eagles' deficiencies pile up in brutal loss to Broncos The Eagles lost their first game of the season, 21-17, to the Broncos. By Reuben Frank • Published October 5, 2025 The Eagles did all the same stuff they have been doing. They couldn’t sustain drives. They committed too many penalties. They couldn’t stop the run. They didn’t pressure consistently enough. They fell apart late in the game. They let a big lead evaporate. They couldn’t convert third downs. They had terribl

Eagles grades by position after crushing loss to Broncos
time2rock ·Eagles grades by position after crushing loss to Broncos Here's the position report card after the Eagles' 21-17 loss to the Broncos in Week 5. By Dave Zangaro • Published October 5, 2025 The Eagles were up two touchdowns in the second half on Sunday before blowing that lead and losing 21-17 to the Broncos at the Linc. The first loss of the season was a fourth-quarter collapse. While the Eagles did some good things on Sunday, they are obviously still struggling to find consistency. And after

What’s your go-to game-day outfit?
NoahMiller ·What’s your go-to game day gear when you’re repping the Birds? Do you usually rock a jersey, layer up with a hoodie or jacket when it’s cold, or have that one lucky item you can’t watch a game without? I’m thinking about picking up some fresh Eagles gear and would love to hear what you guys usually wear. any must-haves I should check out?

Is the Eagles' offensive line becoming a problem?
time2rock ·Is the Eagles' offensive line becoming a problem? The Eagles' offensive line annually is elite, but lately the big guys haven't been themselves. It's showing in the run game. By Geoff Mosher PhillyVoice Staff Mark J. Rebilas/Imagn Images Eagles LG Landon Dickerson has dealt with knee surgeries and a back problem since the Super Bowl as the OL in general hasn't opened its typical lanes for Saquon Barkley. Maybe it should've been a bigger warning signal when the Eagles opened the season with a

I’m sensing the Eagles aren’t going to extend Jordan Davis.
ManchesterEagle ·I’m a bit torn on Davis. Decent player and had a couple of key sacks in the playoffs. Particularly impressed with his sack on Daniels (thought it was Carter initially) But he only played 37% of snaps. And that number decreased as the season went on. I know the Eagles were in front a lot, but it’s a passing league still. Even against the Ravens which was close and going against Lamar and Henry he only played 33%. What’s also interesting is that the Eagles are looking at a lot of first and secon

Will Trump Try To Block The NFL From Playing Games Saturday, Dec. 20?
Wallyhorse ·Would not surprise me given Trump's now-almost 45-year vendetta against the NFL: The Sports Broadcasting Act of 1961 forbids the NFL from having games air outside of their home markets between 6:00 PM Friday and 11:59 PM Saturday starting with the second Friday in September and continuing through the second Saturday in December. Given recent events, including not all NFL teams honoring Charlie Kirk and Bad Bunny being announced as the Super Bowl halftime show, I wonder if Trump would try to ex

2025 Practice Squad Tracker
time2rock ·QB Kyle McCord: The Eagles waived their sixth-round quarterback but they are still interested in developing him. While McCord didn’t do enough to make the roster, he did show some positive signs this training camp. (Tom Pelissero) "I think he did some good things and promising things through camp,” head coach Nick Sirianni said. "Obviously, we liked him enough to draft him onto this football team. I always battle with that myself of how much opportunity can you give your three's? He shows good p

3 years from now what will our roster look like?

time2rock ·Eagles feature Jihaad Campbell continues to show off incredible potential Jihaad Campbell gave up a big touchdown against the Buccaneers but he more than made up for it. Winning Ain’t Easy
time2rock ·Winning Ain’t Easy Posted September 29th, 2025 The good news is that the Eagles are 4-0. The bad news is that the offense is maddeningly inconsistent and the defense is more erratic than you’d like it to be. The team has yet to play a complete game. They make clutch plays and find ways to win. Don’t dismiss how valuable that is. Dallas has gained more yards than any other team. They have also given up more yards and find themselves 1-2-1. Washington had Super Bowl hopes coming into the season.

By Nick Tricome PhillyVoice Staff Nathan Ray Seebeck/Imagn Images Quarterback Jalen Hurts (1) and linebacker Zack Baun (53) leave the field at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa after the Eagles defeated the Buccaneers on Sunday, 31-25. Simple Offense
time2rock ·Simple Offense Posted October 1st, 2025 One thing I think we can all agree on is that the Eagles have a fairly simple offense. Sean McVay and Kyle Shanahan are better play-callers. Ben Johnson is great at designing plays. Todd Monken does some really impressive things with the Ravens offense. Nick Sirianni and the Eagles coaches don’t come close to what those guys have done in terms of creativity. The Eagles focus more on players than plays. That doesn’t always look great in games, but it does

time2rock ·In Roob's Eagles Stats: The insanity of back-to-back 10-game winning streaks By Reuben Frank • Published September 30, 2025 Back-to-back winning streaks, winning with a shaky offense and a Nick Foles record going by the wayside. We’ve got all the numbers you want in this week’s edition of Roob’s Eagles Stats. 1. The Eagles have won 10 consecutive games. And if that doesn’t seem like such a big deal, maybe that’s because it just happened last year. But it is a big deal because those are the on
