EMB Blog: 2026 Offseason
Connecticut Eagle ·Offense: Get a seasoned play caller. Elevate the complexity of the passing game and start installing it in the Spring. Fortify the depth of the offensive line. This includes the heir at RT. Get tight ends who can block. Defense: Upgrade CB2 and add depth to the secondary. Contracts: Sign Phillips and maybe bring back one of Ojulari/Okoronkwo/Uche. Let Goedert, Blankenship, and Dean walk. I haven't figured out what to do about extending Carter, Davis, Ojomo, and Nolan. Pending free agen -

Would You Use 5th Year Option on Jalen Carter?
time2rock ·The projected 5th year option cost on Carter is $27.2M (per Spotrac). It is higher for Carter compared to Davis because he was a 2nd team all pro in 2024. He is still only 24 years old (turns 25 in April). So … would you use the 5th year option on him?

Cam Jurgens - Went to Colombia for treatment
JamesK ·I just had a minimally invasive decompression procedure for my back. The purpose was to relieve severe stenosis at L4-L5, which was due to a herniated disc. They drilled two holes into my vertebrae and pulled out matter that was impinging on my central nervous system. So far, it looks like a success. My life will get back to normal, but here's the big difference. I'm not a center in the NFL. Now I'm not sure what's going on with Cam, but I can say for sure the procedure I had was relatively min

Has AJ Brown Played His Last Game in an Eagles Uniform?
time2rock ·Curious to know what everyone thinks is going to happen with AJ this offseason. Does he get traded? Seems he was pretty checked out all season and was never more obvious than the WC game this past weekend. Maybe it is time for a change in scenery for him? Maybe they feel his attitude is disrupting team chemistry too much? Or do you think he is back, either because most of that nonsense seems to be overblown or just because the salary cap ramifications make it extremely difficult to do so (o -
2026 Salary Cap Expected to Be $301.2 - $305.7M
time2rock ·Pelissero is reporting that the league expects the salary cap to be between $301.2M and $305.7M for the new league year. It was $279.2M in 2025 so this is a pretty big jump once again. Obviously it gives all teams more room to work with but for teams like ours where we are a bit up against the cap it will most definitely help even more to be able to re-sign our own impending FAs that we wish to retain and also have some maneuverability in free agency. -
Some of our free agents might be cheaper to resign than we thought
twilo73 ·I keep reading articles that Blankenship (around $7M), Goedert (around $6M), and Dean (cheaper than we think because of injury history) that makes me think that moving on from them might not be necessary. I would hate to not resign any of these and then have to trade for someone or pay for lesser talent. Are you guys hearing the same thing? J Philips will obviously be expensive. Fred might fall into the same bucket. Would rather him $2M than pay a bad player $1.5M.

2025 Eagles' Team Culture - How Bad Was It?
EaglesAddict ·Just looking for things to talk about until FA starts and draft season starts in full force. For a team and HC that has always emphasized "being together" and having a great team culture, what must have been happening behind the scenes this year that we'll never know about? Obviously the AJ drama was a big thing as was KP/Siri designing one of the most putrid offenses you'll ever see at the NFL level. But what could have been very telling was the 2 outside players we acquired. We signed Za -

Fixing the OL
time2rock ·Fixing the OL Posted February 13th, 2026 The focus of the offseason so far has been the Eagles offense. That started with putting together a new offensive coaching staff. There has also been a lot of discussion about AJ Brown and his future. Handling that situation correctly will be crucial if the offense wants to get back to being a top unit. Just as important will be fixing the offensive line. The OL struggled in 2025, mostly due to injuries. Landon Dickerson started 15 games, but anyone who -

Reports came out that they hired Chris Kuper to be the team’s new offensive line coach, replacing the legendary Jeff Stoutland. Kuper, age 43, played in the NFL for eight years. He was a guard and started 79 games in his career. Kuper was an assistant OL coach in Miami (2017-2018) and Denver (2019-2021) before becoming the full OL coach in Minnesota in 2022. Jake Elliot
Procus ·He's had a rough few outings. When this has happened in the past, it was usually attributable to problems with the long snapper. There has been turnover at that position this year, and kickers can be notoriously sensitive. I've seen calls to cut him, which is sheer lunacy given his clutch performances for the team in the past. Birds need to get the long snapper position straightened out. It may be too late to find a replacement this year, but it's not too late for Charley Hughlett and Jake

For critical two-point review in Rams-Seahawks, NFL got an assist from Terry McAulay

Board technical issues
Moderator12 ·Welcome back everyone. I want to give a big thank you to @VaBeach_Eagle for making this happen. He (and I, to a lesser extent) has worked his butt off over the past week to make this happen. What does Nick Sirianni do as the CEO Head Coach?
NOTW ·It gets asked a lot, thought I'd see what thoughts everyone has. There are other coaches that don't call plays, some that come from defensive background. There's a lot to be done for a team from game prep, running meetings, strategy, game management and other things. Obviously Nick does something well or they wouldn't have success. Many are asking though, if he needs coordinators to run everything, why do we need him? I asked ChatGPT to summarize the things a typical NFL Head Coach does that d

Schefter on discussing Eagles hiring a new OC: "and maybe a little more than that."
EaglesAddict ·Just posting for additional discussion since NOTHING is happening right now... First, do you think Schefter is reliable about these types of things? I mean, he's a major breaking news guy, but is he still trustworthy when it comes to things he's "hearing" about? Secondly, if we assume there's truth to this, what could he be referring to? New stadium? Sirianni getting fired? (highly unlikely) What else is worth stoking the flames in Philly for? If it's something that would become public by -
Let’s Talk About AJ
time2rock ·Let’s Talk About AJ Posted February 8th, 2026 AJ Brown is a great player. He’s also become a complicated subject for discussion. Brown had a disappointing season on the field and generated a lot of drama off the field. That’s not ideal. It is fair to question whether he wants to remain in Philly and also if the Eagles want him to stay. I’m sure the organization would love to keep the guy from 2022-2024. He was one of the best receivers in the league. I don’t think the team would want the guy f
