Israel is not our friend. This is a country with a long history of malevolent actions towards the US, ranging from selling our military secrets to our greatest enemies, to false flag attacks against us to provoke military action against their enemies, to flat out kinetic attacks against our military. Hell, Epstein almost certainly trafficked child prostitutes in our most influential social circles to entrap people on behalf of Israel.

if any other country in the world had done half of what Israel has done to us, they would have been bombed into the Stone Age by now.

We just deal with them because (1) they are the best of some of the world’s worst options, (2) AIPAC owns both of our political parties and (3) they make a nice regional counterweight to adversaries like Iran.

Love Jews. Half of my friends and work colleagues are Jewish. Some of the best people on the planet. Smart, hard working group who don’t commit violent crime. We could use more of them.

But, I am not a fan of the nation of Israel’s government. For a county that benefits so much from our friendship, they betray us seemingly at every turn. This is a posture that spans almost from their creation with the Lavon Affair all the way up to modern times when they spied on us and sold highly sensitive secrets to China.

I don’t even think the Israeli people (as opposed to Jews in general) are happy with the things their government has done to us. There is a reason the Lavon Affair was known as "the bad business.”

But here we are, and this absurd dialectic has a hold on society where you can’t criticize Israel after they do everything from bombing our naval ships to endangering our nuclear triad.
