This Falcons/Bucs game is going into halftime and Kirk Cousins is still looking at the tablet on the sidelines after most of the players went into the locker room. Why can’t you do this Jalen????

He doesn't want to use the tablet. He'll get tempted to sign into his grinder account during the game

Needs to look angry and yet uncaring at all times for the camera for the motivational memes later

Dude got married or engaged and that succubus gave him weak legs.

Kirk put up 14 points in 18 minutes against the Bucs so far. QB1 put up 14 in 4 quarters

And 7 of those were moreso Barkley than anything Hurts did.

No doubt.

It seems to me that he doesnt have the heart anymore. he doesnt care.

1-3 --- we win the falcons game.

Cousins threw for 500 yards against a defense we had 0 yards against in the 2nd quarter. Let that sink in. And spare me with the no AJ or Smitty talk. Darnell Mooney got released by the Chicago Bears of all teams.

Cousins also got his team in game winning FG range with under 2 mins and no timeouts (again). Jalen is not a competent quarterback that can walk the ball down the field. If it’s not a homerun he can’t drop back and be effective, and even those home run plays have become turnovers.

Cousins is a much, much better passer than Hurts.

Ignoring his contributions prior to the drop?

Agreed Jalen should only nut on Monday and save that seed energy the rest of the week for Gameday. If they play MNF the nut has to be on Tuesday obviously.

He has sucked ever since he got the $$$$. Like a LOT of players allow to happen to them.

That's what people do with Hurts. What's fair is fair ...

Barkley dropped a perfect, game-winning pass.

Maybe some do. I actually said early he helps win games, but it's usually after making it much harder than it has to be with the turnovers. Jalens #1 unique skill to me is locking in during crunch time. He can play below average all game, but if the game is within striking distance or needs to be closed out with a long drive...seems to have that part of the game down.

You also said, "Without Barkley,  we are 0-4."

While personally, I find that claim absurd, my response was more tongue in cheek. The Eagles may not be playing like champions right now, but they aren't an 0-4 team. Maybe without Barkley, Lane, Brown, Smith and Goedert, they'd be winless ... or maybe even then they could have played an opponent that had a bad day and found a way to win. But in the real world they are 2-2 and have lost to two teams that may be better than people thought and beat  two teams on the road that aren't bad.

I'm a big fan of Barkley as a player and love what he brings to the team. But before Barkley arrived we had good contributions from Sanders, Howard, and Swift as well as Scott and Gainwell. Then we have the unknown in Shipley. We all know this offensive line can open lanes for runners and if Barkley was never signed by this team, either Gainwell or Shipley (or both) would be a larger part of the gameplan.

Barkleys home run plays have been most of the big plays this year beyond aj big play week 1 and the lucky goedert play where the saints took each other out. It's been extremely stagnant and if you add the turnovers, it's been a harsh season for the offense. Defense isn't helping outside of one game either. So yeah, without a rb averaging 6 yards a carry and 5 total tds, I think we are 0-4 most likely.

We've been without AJ for 3 games already. I doubt that hurt the offense at all and being without Smith for 1 game and Covey for 2 games on top of that was a piece of cake.

I love when people don't realize they are making my point for me. A 255 million dollar qb needs AJ Brown, Smitty, Goedert, That offensive line, Barkley and an OC who has had multiple #1 offenses to be successful.... he should be able to handle one being off the field or figure it out enough to look competent. He is almost useless with aj gone

Aj was also on the field during the collapse all last year and it didn't make a difference. I know, I know Brian Johnson!!! The same guy who is the passing coordinator for potentially the best rookie qb of all time atm....

AJ was not there in the playoff game and not there against Tampa again this year. But when he played vs Tampa in the regular season last year, we beat them handily.

I don't have to make points for you. Your mind is made up. Football is and always will be a team sport. Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown play great together. Brown has been better with Hurts as his QB and Hurts has been better with Brown as his main receiver.

I know you have a history of posting more when Jalen displays struggles than when he displays success. You're just one of many that come crawling out of the woodworks with an agenda.

One thing that seems true to me about Jalen is that he plays better with receivers he trusts and often hesitates to throw to less familiar guys. It's a lot like Wentz. It took literally taking them all away for Wentz to finally throw to someone like Fulgham. The problem with trust is that it becomes a crutch. We don't get to see practices and see who besides Brown, Smith, and Goedert is on the same page with Hurts. So, to us, it's frustrating to not see the replacements get targeted. It also could be that they just aren't all that great at getting open at this time or the coverage is playing a part.

This is a new offense that Hurts is trying to master and we played week 1 on a crap surface field, week 2 without Brown and then we lost Covey and Smith in the next game. Those were his 3 favorite (WR) targets in camp under Moore. And ... somehow to you, it's surprising that Hurts has looked inconsistent thus far. lol

I took a year off of posting on here because I was spending too much time on here, and i was using it to procrastinate when i didnt want to get paperwork done at work. Im not really coming out of the woodwork because he is struggling. When I came back i stated and still stand behind Jalen is between the 8-12 range of qb when everyone is healthy.

Both things can be true. He can be about the 10th best qb in the league when everyone is healthy, and he can have a lot of flaws. The problem I'm having is thay EVERY offense looks exactly the same with Jalen and it's coming down to one thing...the OCs may change, but Jalen isn't. His game isn't developing at all. He goes through progressions slowly, he's heavy reliant on two people and looks completely lost without them which makes me believe he isn't learning the systems at all cause f it, he always has brown and Smith out there anyway.  The league has caught up to his legs and showed us last year they can beat us if all they need to do is stop Smith and brown.  So if his legs aren't the threat they were in 02, and a team can force him to have to scan the field, its almost a guarantee 2 turnovers a game.

I feel there are two camps right now. Your camp of if the turnovers go away, he is fine and this is completely overblown, and my camp that is seeing fundamental breakdowns that go well beyond unfortunate events like a barkley drop and a bad snap from a new center

AJ wasnt there in the playoff game. The rest of the team was, mostly. For that specific game he still had more than enough help and did nothing. That still doesn't answer his point as to why Hurts was co-lead in the biggest regular season collapse we've ever seen. What are the excuses for the other 17 games? What's the excuse for turning the ball over more than almost everyone?

It's funny you bring up Wentz, because their career trajectory is similar in ways. I wonder though, how Hurts would look with Dorial Green-Beckham, Paul Turner, Bryce Treggs, etc. We were given a look at that this past Sunday and like Wentz at the end of his Eagles career, it was ugly.

I keep seeing every excuse in the book for Hurts: bad field, injuries, coaching, new offense, etc. Cousins is in a brand new offense, in a brand new city, coming off of a major injury and is 36 years old. He seems to be doing just fine with receivers that aren't exactly elite himself. Andy Dalton is a washed up has been and has taken one of the worst rosters in football and played pretty well all things considered. How much work did he get in camp with the 1s?

Like I said before, him playing sub par this past Sunday with the big 3 out and losing would be okay. The guy looked like he didnt belong on the field. Brown, Smith, Goedert, etc have been here for a while now. They've all been *relatively* healthy. He's had a good running game.

Yet here we are on year five and he's still scared in the pocket. Still rolls to his right. Still throws the ball out of bounds. Still refuses to use the middle of the field. Still sits on the bench alone. Still has a fumbling problem. The red flags are still there. When is the hand holding going to stop?
