Then I decided to stop torturing us with the hassle, mess and finding stray needles for the subsequent next decade. I would never ever go back to a real tree. We have a consistently beautiful pre-lit tree that we add some additional lights to and I couldn’t be happier. It’s a nice holiday tradition to pick out or cut down a tree but we do other things for our holiday memories instead like visiting Longwood Gardens and Dutch Wonderland. They are so much easier that we have two now the main one in our family room and an Irish/Croatian tree for our living room. This was last year.
