Does NFL have a back up plan?

The NFL needs to announce there will be a Week 18 if necessary to make games up with the playoffs other than the Super Bowl pushed back one week and there being only one week between the conference title games and Super Bowl.

I also wrote the "pandemic realignment" that I would have done this year that would have had the Eagles in a division with Washington, the Ravens and Panthers for this season only (Giants in AFC East with the Jets, Pats and Bills and Cowboys to an NFC South with the Saints, Texans and Titans).  In this format, teams would have played the others in their division four times (and where possible, road games in back-to-back weeks against the same team with the road team not traveling back between games, including where the second meeting is their Thursday game) and against the corresponding division in the other conference once (also to reduce travel).

Titans up to 22 players. Crazy

They just need to postpone this week and shift everything back to get this under control

Florida's governor is an idiot.

Apparently he wants to keep Trump happy OR GOP Donors have been pressuring him to do this.

More Titans testing positive today. Titans-Bills game is probably not happening this weekend.

I’d be fine with the Titans forfeiting their game with the bills this weekend because at some point a marker needs to be put down about this stuff. It’s a situation of their own making by their players holding private workouts when their own practice facility closed because of a covid outbreak.

If they held a workout while they should have been quarantined they should absolutely forfeit this game.  Otherwise, the whole league needs to pause 1 week for this.

Absolutely. You want to skirt the rules and have workouts when a sizable chunk of people in your organization have tested positive for Covid-19, then screw you. Forfeit time. The Bills would likely beat them down anyways, but a message needs to be sent and an example needs to be made. People can debate lockdowns and masks and everything else Covid related till they're blue in the face, but everyone knew it was going to take some special protocols and a whole lot of discipline to make it through an NFL season with minimal interruptions. This is reckless stupidity.

What could possibly go wrong?

And I say that as someone that has questioned the extent of a number of Covid-related lockdowns/closures/cancellations...  but jamming 65,000 people into a sardine can right now is pure stupidity.

More Patriots players test positive today. They cancelled practice, putting the rescheduled Patriots-Broncos game in danger of postponing again.

NFL announces 8 positive Covid-19 tests among players in latest round of testing

The National Football League confirmed today eight players tested positive for Covid-19 and 11 staffers also tested positive during the latest round of testing, according to a league statement.

The NFL and NFL Players Association said the testing results were for the week of Oct. 11 to Oct. 17. About 7,799 people were tested.

That brings the NFL’s total number of positive cases to 47 players and 71 other personnel since Covid-19 monitoring testing began Aug. 1.

Raiders sent home the entire starting offensive line yesterday, after RT Trent Brown tests positive for COVID-19. They aren't practicing today either.

Raiders possibly dodged a bullet. Game is still on Sunday, but flexed out of SNF to afternoon slot.

49ers got a positive result, they shut down their facility today, yet they're supposed to play tomorrow night?

Several stadiums have opened to fans since September, including the Linc in Philly. Some have not. Lambeau isn't opening up.

With increasing COVID rates across the country, I wonder when the trend might change, and stadiums start closing down again?

The Ravens have 20 players on their Covid list. The 49ers don't have a home or a place to practice for the next 3 weeks, and the Broncos have no eligible QBs tomorrow.
