January 26, 20241 yr Harbaugh is allegedly bringing Roman as his OC, Minter as his DC and another Harbaugh as his Special teams . The rumor I heard was Staley going to Dolphins as DC. Moore"s offense was good in SD despite losing his WR and an OL that were turnstiles, not to mention a pissed of RB that didn't get his money he felt he deserved who alo sat out games with an injury. I think he'd do well here especially with our weapons and OL. KK would as well as he wouldn't have a QB that prefers video games to game film and does run the ball at a top 8 attempts and yards rushing. He had to deal with a ton of crap in AZ that wouldn't be on him here.
January 26, 20241 yr Also Fangio is probably bringing Renaldo Hill with him. He was his DB coach in Denver and coached Simmons and was his passing game coordinator/ DB coach in Miami
January 26, 20241 yr they were saying that Fangio likes to run 3-4 defenses? this should be good... LB: UDFA,UDFA, Nakobe Dean, UDFA until Dean gets injured, then LB: UDFA,UDFA, Veteran cast off FA, UDFA

Reddick is one of the outside LB'ers in the 3-4, I don't think Sweat can play that spot but Nolan Smith could be one of the starters in year 2. Still super thin at the position and probably a 2 year build at the minimum to convert to a 3-4

I'm not an X's and O's guy and know all the ins and outs of all these schemes. But, we have top talent at the WR and TE positions, 2 different running backs achieved 1,000 yard seasons (I know, not as impressive with the 17th game added but still), and a QB who last year was an MVP runner up. If Kelce does retire (?) that certainly weakens the line but Mailata, Dickerson and Lane are still great. Overall the offensive roster is excellent. There are some basic, simple things they should have done this year that they didn't. They don't need a highly complex play book. They have playmakers. They need to mix things up and be less predictable and mix in some variety in plays, but it doesn't have to be a genius OC who fools defenses every week.

Former head coach Staley to not be the coordinator but some type of assistant role/position coach? Former DC Barry to coach a position? Those type of hires would bring experience but also could be a succession plan. Interesting. The coaches accepting these positions could also be thinking let's load up on a team with a Super Bowl window, help them win a championship and then they'll all get coaching offers for promotions again. Win-win (if it works).

January 26, 20241 yr Would like to see Caldwell be the LB Coach. Would LOVE to see Seth Joyner be the LB Coach. They just need some LBs to Coach.
