Injuries are an excuse for failure. Because in Dallas when Cooper Rush had to start it at least looked decent. The wheels shouldn’t fall off over injuries.

I get the feeling Fangio could outlast this situation. Let’s be honest here. We know if this doesn’t work Sirianni is gone, but their next hire will just be another guy that was on nobody’s radar, but they will try to claim is the perfect puppet err I mean coach.

Dak was an All-Pro while he was there also...Are you just ignoring ALL the other numbers that his offense had when he was there? 

I know they don't fit the narrative you're trying to put out there but this was a strong hire.

Make perfect sense to start anew with coaches and players.  Let the vets go and give PT to the young bucks.  Draft wisely too.  It would be couple of seasons before the team is back on top.  Well, if they can do it in one season, that much better.

Not sure why people are down on the hire.  The offense rankings during his 5 years as OC:

Twice led the league in yards gained and top 10 in points scored 3 times.  The down year in Dallas (2020) was when they lost Dak and were playing Dalton and DiNucci and obviously numerous injuries in LA this past year.

I’m okay with the hire, as long as we run the ball, get under center more, and get some creative formations to combat the blitz I’m good whoever it is.

You know, the OC and DC coaches that were brought in... are enough to turn the team around and restart the greatness. These are REAL coaches, who will get it done. Now Howie has to bring in some better talent, but we have a good core.

Yeah, cos they didn't have much of a run game. They were also running it up at home.yet stinking on the road. I like the hire, I think it'll be an improvement

So they were slightly better the year after he left, but the real comparison should be between Moore and Johnson ... I think most would agree we are in a better position now with Moore.  I agree with the bolded 1000% (as if anything over 100% is achievable but still ...  ).

Regarding Fangio, with how much experience he has over the 30+ years of coaching and his no nonsense style, I think he'll command respect more so than someone like Desai.  Those players in Miami that are glad he left were probably clients of Rosenhaus (it was he who made that initial statement) ... he was probably making that statement to protect those players for their next contract negotiations.  Not worried about that nonsense.

TBH I’ve always thought the exact same with Reid and Doug too (always guessed AR saying he transitioned play calling duties to Doug for the same reason … to prop him up for a HC job) but we’ll never really know (ditto with regard to Bienemy).

When you lose your top two WRs for any extended period as well as your quarterback you are not going to do well.  Injuries can only be an excuse to a point. 

We went from garbage at both OC and DC to very solid at both spots. Does it lock us into Super Bowl contenders? No ... but it should get us out of laughingstock status for the most part. Sirianni is somehow still the head coach ... he's the most powerless head coach in the league; needs to have his title changed to Howie's press secretary. The dude is really in charge of absolutely nothing at this point ... kind of like Joe Biden I guess. 

Moore's Dallas offense had a great rushing attack hopefully that carries over.

Love the Fangio hire. He's not taking any HC jobs and will likely be here a long time. Just what we needed.

Guess that would depend on how well the defense plays under him and also how long Sirianni is on the job.  If the team plays like ish next year and he gets canned the new HC could be bringing in an all his own guys (assuming those above allow him to).

I wouldn’t be surprised to see Fangio outlast Sirianni perhaps Moore as well. Remember this team hired Schwartz before they even hired Doug. For as quickly as they hired Fangio after he was let go by Miami, and for as much as they’re obsessed with his clones, I don’t see them dumping him unless he crosses the FO in some kind of way.
