name one hc that ever got fired under those circumstances.

the eagles wouldn't have 1 sb let alone two with a person making dummie decisions like you want to.

big balls don't win sb's, making smart decisions does, you dummie.

So we repeated and I missed it? Or did we waste the best opportunity with unqualified O coaching?

what HC ever got fired in the same scenario?

i'll ask you this question after every post of yours until you either answer or admit your point was stupid to begin with.

oh i know, i have a bad habit of F'ng with the stupid when im bored.

The first to do something doesn’t mean it’s wrong. In fact we just witnessed exactly how a HC won a SB then how the power to hold our franchise hostage…not just promoting Patullo and running his O….but sticking with him the entire time.

All when we know the real problem is the weakest O system and coach that created it.

I'm with Ham, been wanting Siri gone for a long time. His conservative bs, the sideline antics, really don't know what he brings to the team. With HC candidates out there, he may be preventing a good OC from coming here. Sounds like he's getting somewhat neutered if we're offering complete control of the O, w/o interference.

Oh no doubts. Already pulled the trick of telling Moore he had complete autonomy….yet Siri walked that back super quick. So much so Moore jumped ship for a terrible job opportunity.

So we lost credibility about all that.

On a positive note O minds clearly see they will have a massive leap forward in production versus the pathetic underachievement the O coaching lead us to.

"A league source also just told me initial talks with Eagles offensive coordinator candidates/ 'their camps' have gone well, adding that the feedback has been on wanting to have questions assuaged on 'complete autonomy' over the offense--similar to what Kellen Moore enjoyed when he was with Philly. Those concerns were met with responses insuring an elite candidate should not anticipate 'any interference,' the source said."

So if Kellen Moore had complete autonomy over the offense begs the question as to why the offense looks eerily similar to every other year…. Even pass happy Moore couldn’t get Hurts going as a passer we already see Shough passing well in NO with a far less talented team

Because Hurts is a RB who can throw, not a top end QB. Moore tried,Hurts couldn't handle it and we reverted to the KISS offense. Hurts decided this year to keep the KISS offense, but that he wasn't going to put himself out there. It's like betting 50 million on Ali in a fight fight, then he decides he's going to tie his right arm behind his back, but you can't change your bet now, it's too late. Hurts was paid the big loot for using his legs, then decides he doesn't want to do that now. This is really easy to see

Would you make Alvin Kamara your QB?? To be fair, the O line wasn't happy either, Moore was asking them to do the things they weren't built for. Thus the mega meeting where Siri made the decision we were going back to the run game which the O line was familiar with (remember the illegal man downfield calls? And Hurts league leading picks through week 4 that year?)

Guess the whole subject boils down to how much are you thinking win now is a priority.

Would argue Moore took the Saints job because it was one of the best job opportunities…. Roster and cap situation were not great but he no doubt got guaranteed he would get multiple years to right the ship hand pick his own QB in a really weak NFC south.

Saints also just went 6-11 and seem to have a really promising QB

A "bad" HC job still pays more than a good OC position LOL. It's a promotion by definition

I mean if Saints offered Moore 3 years guaranteed to fix the saints that’s huge basically get two years to hone his craft as a HC not having to worry to much about the record…. Then 2027 saints will free up a ton of cap space for him to really go after it and build a contender….

They are cash strapped. If he can show progress in year 3 I suspect they give him a 5 year deal. By then they should be out of cap hell. They have some young bright guys(like Olave). Kamara on this last legs and a TE will be needed, but being they are all young, they can grow together(in theory). Whether that theory become s reality remains to be seen

Or the more likely culprit was Jalen Hurts…. Moore opened the offense first 4 weeks had Hurts throwing the ball 30+ times with not great results 4 ints in 4 games after the bye week he adjusts and turns to the ground game and Hurts only throws the ball 30+ times once rest of the season playoffs included.

It's actually tougher to "undo" what people learned and reteach them something different rather that teach from the beginning how you want things done. So. Moore tried to "undo" here and that didn't work so well . In NO he has a chance to build from scratch

Hurts was also taking off and running the ball upfield last season. Due to his side deal he stopped doing that. He may run upfield for 4 yards and fall down, but no massive yardage like with Moore and the stellar O line we had. So now the O line was weaker and Hurts would run for the sidelines rather than try to win. And if course we ran the tush push to death and didn't run it much this year

David Shaw I still think might be my top guy to be OC if we can pry him away from the Lions. I’d understand Daboll makes a ton of sense and see the appeal of a Mcdaniels.

That's the plan as I see it also

If I was Howie I would ask Fangio "which OC would you have the hardest time game planning against"

That's really not terrible for a new HC considering you are in cap hell with a rook QB and can't go get the guys you need and they were limited on draft picks also
