I look at Shaw numerous years as a QB coach/WR coach in the NFL for different teams.. Stanford OC for few years then the HC 2011-2022. Developed some pretty good QB in that span Andrew Luck being one of them and was Tanner McKee coach.

Then was passing game coordinator for the lions this year which was the #3 passing offense in the NFL with a limited QB in Jared Goff.

And Shaw at 53 after he stepped away from Stanford HC job then took 3 years off before becoming pass game coordinator for the Lions not sure he would even be interested in a HC opportunity

Also heard we have poked around at LSU OC Weis Jr

We need an experienced play caller who can look at our players, understand their strengths and weaknesses, then put in a system that plays to those strengths.

We need a 100% functioning dominant O line. Get that and you or I could call the plays

Monken following Harabugh to the Giants

Not yet he isn’t. Interviewing for head coaching positions.

Personally I would like to see McDaniel at OC although I'm sure he will be checking out HC jobs. Miami's offense was often derailed because of Tua's concussions. I feel he would utilize our players to the best of their abilities

Free agents: Dotson is out…no big loss; contributed very little

Geodert, Blankenship, Dean…..hopefully all return but probably not.

AJ Brown isn’t a free agent to my understanding.

OCs: this one is intriguing. No real issue with everyone’s opinion of who they want….I would prefer a Mcvay protege….and make sure Siri stays the hell out of the way.

McVay is the best coach in the NFL, in my opinion of course. I "like” Shanahan’s offensive game plans, but I like McVay’s better. McDaniels is interesting as Miami had a potent run game….he’s just freaking weird. Haha.

I dont want Reich. Daboll is a real maybe. Stefanski is interesting but unlikely. Kafka, no thanks. Someone from the McVay tree is my hope. Strong run games. Without that, Hurts is a below average QB and we will see more of the same crap offense.

Actually attack the weak matchups….like when a team is missing their top four LBs.

And that's why part of me feels we were winning in spite of Siri

Get the plays in early so the playclock isn’t winding down when the players break the huddle. Using Motion giving our players a read on the D. Just way too much in our guys favor to make such a move.

Siri does a nice job of keeping players from eating themselves. No locker room CRAP

That's why I want McDaniels, he has PASSION. He wants to WIN(He is also from the Shanahan coaching tree). If he got the OC,it would be short lived springboard too another HC job, but you win SB's when you can

No slot guy contributes, because Hurts rarely finds them. One of Hurts biggest drawbacks is BAD BAD field vision. Should be much more advanced at this stage of his career. I'm sorry Hurts lost me with his lame self preservation side deal. Until he shows me he is willing to be a team player and use the legs he was paid to use, I'm no longer a fan of his

But as I was labelled erroneously as a #hater anyhow, now he has given me a reason. He got the big loot and goes through the motions only now. Really pulled the wool over everyones eyes, so sad

pick 1-Lomu-OT, pick 2 Chris Johnson-CB(will seal up the secondary right away) pick 3- Bisontis-G. Pick 1 and 3 will/ should shore up the O line. Once again we have Daruis Cooper so not selecting a WR early IMO. I'm fine with Eric Rivers at pick 151. Let's see what happens with AJ whose "buddy" Hurts had to be reminded he was on the field LOL

Mike M also interviewed for the OC in TB

Is Lane done? Word was he wasn’t going to miss nearly the time he did. Wasn’t an issue figuring they weren’t forcing it until the playoffs. Seems he clearly had a setback.

hard to do when the qb is scared to throw over the middle.

The issue with someone from Mcvay tree is they won’t be an OC long just using us to get a HC offer and we are back to square one.

Don’t think Lane will go out this way think he returns next season but we need to draft a OT to replace him/fill in when he likely misses some games
