Not all the much of a head scratcher he was literally the only RB that could pass block at a decent level… why I want a guy like Barkley that can do it all and stay on the field so we don’t have that drop off

Yeah...but Gainwell with 84 carries.... compared to just 229 for Swift?     Clearly they can't just favor Gainwell like that.   Lol.

Ham will be paying guys 70m up front only be able avoid 3 guys and rest league mins if we lucky we can get a full 53 man roster

Kicking the can down the road ... only works for the other 31 teams, it's the wrong strategy for the Eagles.

San Francisco went way overboard with this strategy  ..  yet you don't hear any complaints from their biggest Stan on here.   Doesn't fit the agenda

He was a + runner last year. This year he ran a little and fell down, or ran OOB,or takes EZ sacks in crucial games. he looked like a rookie many times. back to 1 read and run again too. No field vision,it was horrible

Correct as BG said ..  no real regression.... except for running.    The running part for a QB... has a limited effect,  eventually you gotta pass it.

last year(before the big money) Hurts would run and get 15-20 yards. This year he ran for 3 and fell down with no one even close. And while I understand self preservation, you have to play the game to the best of your ability and I didn't see that from Hurts

Again.... the point is...  running is why Hurts is in the NFL.   The QB position needs vision and throwing.    Hurts is a runner...when he doesn't run, he isn't good.

That's why you keep harping on everything running.  That's a bigger issue.   Why does he have to run inthe first place?

So now we have Moore who hopefully knows more than the 8 plays we ran all year. And those 8 were predictable. I was watching and calling the plays because even I can fathom 8 plays LOL

More importantly....we will find out if the QB can run more than those 8 plays.

Very good point. It was so obvious I hadn't even thought of it:lol:

We were like the seventh best O last season even still, right?

yes, but should've been in top 3 with the talent this team had and OL to boot.

To me the issues were Game plan, game mgt…coaching.

I'm not buying all this trouble in the boys' room crap. These guys have a job. Nobody likes to lose.

Sure he regressed, back to 1 read and run. It got worse after the bye when we had to face real teams with real defenses. When his 1 read was covered,he didn't bother to look at option 2,3,he just ran and fell down. That's a serious regression. That's JV in the NFL, That's why you saw guys waving their arms in the air,yet Hurts didn't or refused to see them

Because he is a ball hog and trying to win games by himself. He's not using the tools we paid for

Sad with the tools we provided. The tush push was 1/2 our offense

You would think with all the pro bowl players...plus Smith and Goedert.

There were games where we barely punted... had more turnovers than punts...that's not game plan.

Did you really see more than one read in 2022?

Or he just isn't that level of a QB....without running.

I just saw a local article saying your boy Trotter was more like a 3rd round pick....stock dropping.   Is it true?

Good point.

I hate mock drafts. They are so stupid. By the third pick its all wrong anyway. Any moron could do a mock draft and yet ESPN drools over the idiot mel kiper. Please! Just stupid, period.

Pick best player available all the time! Sure hope they are defensive players and a tackle. Need to draft one O lineman in EVERY draft!

See if Russell Wilson will come over and be a backup. League minimum pay. If Hurts continues to regress, the Eagles have a proven starter on the cheap. Hey, a guy can dream. Haha.

He was starting to do better near the end if the year. I was hoping that growth would continue

No pocket passer, but he needs more plays under center with the 5 step drop

It seems he has fallen a bit. last I checked around pick 68 which is early 3. A good combine will move him back up. I still think we trade the 22 back for extra picks. Trotter could be had in 3 with a mediocre combine,so if we traded back got a 3rd and something else that would keep both 2's available

SO define "best player"  If a top 5 QB drops to 22 do you take him?. If harrison drops to 22 do you take him? And give up spots you have holes at? Mocks are not stupid, they give you insight to players you maybe never heard of which causes you to look them up. Draftek is mock drafts 325 days a year. Scouting never stops now except to watch the SB 1/2 time show. Do you know who Harrison even is? If not,you should,,if you do,then where does he fall and how does that affect your teams pick? Can you name the top 20 draftees off the top of your head without looking? If not,you refer to a mock to find out. I do them ALL the time,so I am stupid but I bet I  know more players that fall in our range than you do and who is out of reach when we are on the clock. Doesn't so so stupid to me,so when I post a mock just ignore my stupidity
