where? What round are we talking about?

Could get cute and believe the internet fan boards that we can trade back and still be capable of picking either of these Oline prospects.

I'm trying to read 57 posts at once lol. A case could be made to re-sign Swift. let's see if they do that or not

Not much of one really. We jacked his price tag up. If we were to retain him long term that extension needed to happen week 5 of last season or something.

We brought Swift’s price tag to what I’d consider a high. Never love paying top dollar for anybody.

Those two I’m taking first round.

Did they declare? I don't see either one on the boards

Howie isn't taking a RB in round 1

You want good players but don't want to pay them?

My feelings are this FA class of RB has good options for cheap. Some good hungry RBs that are just entering their prime. Several that have that Pro experience already. But haven’t broken out enough to command big money.

You have zero understanding of my thoughts concerning any of this.

Nah, Howie wanted to see results for the season before making that call

Then explain how to get good players, but you don't want to pay

I’ve never stated anything about me not wanting to pay good players. Never said anything could even be misconstrued to have mistaken my thoughts to have been that.

I’m not totally against him. But don’t see him as any start right away level player at all. That’s reserved for the DeVonta Smith few guys.

He's a SLOT WR,like JJ. he has the same skill set

Anyway,I don't see your RB's on any board,did I miss something?

I see it as all options being available. I’m all for stepping up and paying elite needed players. I am very against overpaying and delaying the ramifications towards contracts of old players for what their past brought. I only believe in the business of paying for what will be delivered by players during the contract being signed.

Well no team wants to overpay, but they do and you need to if you want the elite FA's,so it's a balancing act,you have to decide where your going to spend the money and which spots you won't

How can you compare him to JJ? He’s just nowhere near that level of polish or talent.

Hard to define "overpaying". Howie's job is deciding what players are worth

Watch again. No he's not JJ,then again he's a round 3 not a 1

This is pretty much my constant point I always make. I don’t see things so much like underpaying and overpaying. I see things as the whole big picture being assembled. So if any position is thin with options that player is more important and worth a higher value to me.

Oh well he is my round 3 pick anyhow

Are you sure those RB's are even in this draft? I don't see either one

I see it as you look for the best value signings first. Always want to sign good players that don’t break the bank. It’s not just Rosie’s job. 31 other GMs out there also. Salary cap keeps things fairly even. Can’t have some Yankees type situation. No teams can just lopsidedly buy talent.

We have money to spend and nice draft picks. Howie will decide what the FA values are and if he will pay or not

I wouldn't. I would sign the guy we need, then go after value later. Signing "cheap" doesn't make a good "whole picture"

So you can’t really overpay several players and expect to win trophies. But the common mistake is letting the pricing blind a GM. All that matters is the whole roster totaled together. Nobody really cares if one FA bright in was considered a bad value. Didn’t matter if one particular player was considered overpaid. All that matters is was a roster put together that could win it all.
