Yup. Keep feeding him hate so he wants to have big revenge games against them. They thought Boston Scott was the Giant Killer? Wait til the revenge tour.

Keep fueling him. Boston Scott was the Giant Killer. Saquon's revenge tour is going to be even worse for them.

They'll probably lineup that game with just the oline and Hurts handing it off. No WRs or TEs on the field.

actually, his cutting ability / top-end speed has been compromised a bit from the injuries. He's been to the second level untouched quite a few times and unable to out-run the defense since his first ACL tear...He's basically a bigger-framed Swift...don't think we should expect 1800 yards but 15-1600 is certainly doable. He runs decent routes and makes great catches but occasionally his hands turn into bricks...not sure if this move was worth it...could've kept swift and went after a safety...

Barkley has the 4th, 5th, 12th, and 14th fastest speed reached by a ball carrier in the regular season according to NGS. He also has the 2nd and 3rd fastest speed in the postseason so far. You know who's not in the top 20 (regular season)? Tyreek Hill.

How awesome would it be for the Eagles to now go out and win the Super Bowl next season with Barkley being healthy the entire season and getting 2000+ (total)? Giants boards would melt down.

Turns out, pretty freaking awesome!

And no, I did NOT edit this after the fact lol

Pre-injury, yes. I'm not nearly as high on Barkley any more. We could have gone after Josh Jacobs for similar or less money. Or kept Swift for less. And I think the production would be relatively the same from all 3 of them.

Glad I was wrong!

I think there were a lot of us who were excited by the signing and hoped he could be really good. I don’t think there was any of us who thought he’d be what he’s been though.

I didn't exactly think that he'd do what he did, but I definitely thought that he could behind our line, as evidenced by my post last year lol.

Awesome season, best I've ever experienced as an Eagles fan, which is going on 50 years (next year). Us having 2 Lombardi's with the prospect of more to come is still pretty surreal to me.

I know for a lot of Eagles fans that first one was probably more special? Y’all had waited for so long to win that jawn 😊 and to do it the way we did was magical. But I think for me this one was even better. We were so dominant in so many games this year especially the NFCCG and the Super Bowl.

How about it!!  It was so crazy after ALLLLLLLL those years of nothing (other than getting 'this close' a few times but not getting to the promised land) to finally get ONE ... and now here we are with TWO!!  :Eagle_smiley:

It was starting to feel like I would never see one in my lifetime.

They're both (and soon more) special. Speaking for just myself, the first one was more exciting/exhilarating, simply because it was a very long awaited experience and the way it happened... the way the game played out and also the way the end of the season and post season played out with Wentz going down and Nick stepping in and doing what he did after having been traded away then coming back as a backup. Add to all of that, that I had to grow up watching the Redskins and Raiders (my brothers teams), win multiple Super Bowls.

LIX, for me, is exciting/exhilarating but for different reasons. Many of which are kind of 'after the fact' when looking at the season as a whole and the post-season... and then the actual Super Bowl. The dominating way in which we won the Super Bowl, the way we just decimated the Chiefs in every possible way.

That's how I envisioned the '90 or '91 Eagles doing it when we had such an incredible Defense. But as much as I loved Buddy Ryan, he just never focused on the offense enough to give us the balance that we witnessed in 2024. Had Randall been properly coached, he definitely had the talent and ability to do what Hurts is doing and maybe even more. But Buddy's offensive philosophy can be explained with a quote from him: "Offense my butt. Our offense is for Randall to make five big plays and we'll win." We won games like that, sure. It was exciting. But you can't (and we didn't) sustain that in the playoffs.

Maybe Kotite in '91 would have been able to do it but losing Randall after only a single quarter in game 1, killed any real hopes. We lost Jerome Brown to the car accident in 1992 and then free agency began in 1993 and the owner was an idiot and the team was dismantled. So when we won LII, a lot of years of suffering were finally able to be released in a cathartic way.

All of that (and more), is why I say that what we're experiencing now is kind of surrealistic to me.

I rambled a bit there... lol

Some games call for hard-nosed running, that's why they picked up AJ Dillion, it's simply not Barkley's forte, dude should to take some ballet classes to work on his balance, it's like his feet and brains aren't in sync.

Barkley not a hard-nosed runner. Also lacks balance and struggles with the basic mechanics of running. You heard it here first, folks.

Thank goodness Dillon has arrived to save our putrid rushing attack.

I love the AJ Dillon signing, but time will tell whether he makes a meaningful contribution given his injury history.  Look no further than Jordan Howard who was great when he was healthy, which unfortunately wasn't the case all too often.

Come on.  Let's live in the realm of possibility here instead of indulging in fantasies.

Oh wait . . .

Who is this man and is he related to Shayshawn Broccoli?
