5.56x45mm NATO is essentially the same as .223 Remington. It is strange there wasn't a definitive announcement.

I read somewhere it was a 22L which is what a lot of people like to use at the range because it's really cheap. It could be .223 or 5.56 because depending on the rifle you can use either

It's definitely not a .308 because those are too damn expensive nowadays lol

regardless of how i feel about trump, im glad this kid was a lousy enough shot to miss him. unfortunately, we still had a casualty and other injuries, but it could've been much worse.

Pictures show the weapon was a DPMS AR rifle so it's easily surmised he was likely shooting 5.56 NATO. Nobody confirmed or denied it was anything else.

The people who were actually shot could have been hit by secret service in a cross fire for all we know. They're aren't providing any details. The entire thing stinks of coverup.

5.56 is the newer version of .223 Remington. I guess it is supposed to perform better... But at the range the kid was shooting from and he was such a poor shot, I doubt it makes any difference.

Getting hit with a bullet and having it only graze an ear seemed unlikely, but when my buddy was hit around the ear by a pellet gun when we were teenagers that's exactly how he reacted.
