Free speech! So he said some crazy stuff online? So what? He happened to be meandering around a golf course! Not a crime! Isn’t it legal to carry an AK47 around with you in Florida? Dude was meandering around exercising his constitutional rights. If he wasn’t in on it, sounds like he could be an innocent victim. Did he actually shoot at Trump? If not, I don’t see any wrong doing. If they hold him, he could be just a political prisoner.

I'm really disturbed that multiple people here wanted to see him get assassinated. It's one thing to hate him, but another entirely to want to see him get shot in the head in front of the entire count

She was born premature and spent a month in the NICU. She was only 4lbs when she was born! She has OT and PT for low tone. She is doing incredibly and I’m truly amazed by her every. single. day. Tiny

For the love of God, just let him lose the election.

The shooter is an anti-vaxxer. He has a history of mental illness and incidents with firearms. Despite that, he had an assault rifle. The shooter was nowhere near Trump, didn't fire any shots, Secret Service shot at him.

Clearly the FBI and CIA hacked his twitter account to make him look like a lunatic because he was a Harris supporter

A bunch of adventure seeking asshats showed up to Ukraine in the beginning, did nothing, and then left.  Looks like he was one of them.

Pushing this nonsense, you can GFY.

Routh previously lived in the Greensboro area before moving to Hawaii sometime this year. Neighbors say he and his family moved to Hawaii in May.

Voter records indicate that he was an unaffiliated voter but did vote in the Democratic primary in Guilford County.

Social media posts allegedly belonging to Routh indicate he was a believer in COVID-19 conspiracy theories, and he had posted that he had voted for Trump in 2016 but was disappointed with him after the fact, expressing support for Tulsi Gabbard in various posts.

Oh.

Odd that you leave out he voted for Trump in 2016 and became unhappy with him, probably for doing the vaccine.

Silly ol' cuck

The Cowboys were in more danger than Trump was today.

Put this guy down today for a double-bogey.  Didn’t even get a shot off?  Everyone knows it’s drive for show and putt for dough.

Neither of these "attempted assassins” went with a purpose.  Gotta get much closer and accept you will be put down, but you’re acting with a larger purpose.  The first attempt was likely staged; this one doesn’t even seem like an event, since the person was never within 400 yards and didn’t fire the weapon.

Used to be, if there was an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate the current administration, even if they’re the opposition party, would be everywhere, demanding answers and promising accountability because they knew that even their own supporters would not accept less. Nowadays this administration barely acknowledges it and does as little as possible to show urgency. What’s changed? The democrats know that many, maybe most, of their voters are either ambivalent, or disappointed by another failure.

Honestly man, what's changed is that the candidate in question here used up all his benefits of the doubt, and his demeanor and divisiveness the last decade ensures that he'll get very little sympathy from a large chunk of the nation.

Most rational people stopped treating Trump like a normal person, let alone a rational politician.

He has nobody to blame but himself.

But his supporters refuse to hold him accountable for anything. So round we go.

They spotted the guy doing their sweep a hole ahead of where Trump was. He wasn’t going to take a shot from 400 yards out, he was waiting.

The gunman was first seen by Secret Service agents, who were sweeping the course ahead of the former president as he played. The agents usually go one hole ahead to perform security checks, according to police.

The muzzle of a rifle - initially described as an AK-47-style rifle by County Sheriff Ric Bradshaw - was spotted sticking through the shrubbery that lines the course. At the time Trump was about 300-500 yards (272-557m) away from the gunman, he said.

An agent "immediately engaged” with the person holding the rifle, who fled, Sheriff Bradshaw said.

"The Secret Service did exactly what should have been done."

If he wasn’t on resort property he should say he was duck hunting.  If he gained access to a private resort it should be Trump’s private security with some hard questions to answer

Or just blame the mentally unstable, brainwashed person who tried to assasinate a former president. That’s probably a stretch for most of you though.

Trump is creating this environment.  Most news media is reporting that there still hasn’t been a motive established for the first attempt.  Trump is an arsehole — that’s the motive.

I said after the first attempt it wouldn’t be the last one.  Trump had better hope someone who is fully trained and fully motivated doesn’t get the next attempt.

I love that Trump now has to go out his rallies and think to himself, "which of these rube lunatics is going to try and kill me next?"
