Getting hit with a bullet and having it only graze an ear seemed unlikely, but when my buddy was hit around the ear by a pellet gun when we were teenagers that's exactly how he reacted.

It'll move the needle in the near term. But I think a lot of people are discounting how quickly we've moved on from recent political acts of violence.

I honestly doubt there's much of a sympathy vote all the way out in November.
