Trumps campaign is going to botch this and throw away any sympathy his bloody ear may have generated.

Yeah I didn't think they were that dumb when you guys were saying it last night, but I'm starting to think I'm the dumb one for underestimating just how stupid these morons can be.

I'm really disturbed that multiple people here wanted to see him get assassinated. It's one thing to hate him, but another entirely to want to see him get shot in the head in front of the entire count

She was born premature and spent a month in the NICU. She was only 4lbs when she was born! She has OT and PT for low tone. She is doing incredibly and I’m truly amazed by her every. single. day. Tiny

Trump Campaign Manager Calls on Staff to Avoid ‘Dangerous Rhetoric’ Following Failed Assassination Attempt on Trump

Colby HallJul 14th, 2024, 7:32 am

Trump campaign leaders called on staff to avoid making any public comments following the failed assassination attempt of former President Donald Trump and condemned any "dangerous rhetoric” posted on social media.

In a staff memo written by campaign managers Chris Lacivita and Susie Wiles, Trump campaign staffers were urged to "recognize the political polarization in this heated election. If something looks or feels off, please flag it immediately for leadership or an on-site security team.”

"Please do not comment publicly on the occurrence of today,” the memo continued. "We condemn all forms of violence, and will not tolerate dangerous rhetoric on social media.

Which is more likely that they were pro-Trump crisis actors or that Biden ordered a hit on Trump?

Who is reporting this?

Who reported it was a  pellet gun. That didn't age well.

The shooter was wearing a Demolition Ranch shirt, an online business focused on guns, that is popular with right-wingers and Second Amendment aficionados. Go figure.

One of the Congressmen who was at the rally said it was probably a .22 or other small-caliber firearm

Yeah, I’m working tomorrow.  And not only that, my wife is out of town for work, but told a neighbor we would feed their cats.

Ok, so the next time you're critical of something that hasn't personally happened to you, I'll ask you the same question.

It’s not that you’re critical of a situation that hasn’t happened to you, it’s that you’re critical of a situation that involves a massive dump of adrenaline and causes people to react in a variety of different ways. Some people cower, some people are curious, some people turn into heroes, and once in Italy a little guy jumped onto a burning tank and shot a whole bunch of the enemy.  It’s one of those things where you don’t know until you know.

If you can’t see the differences in judging "something you haven’t gone through” and judging the reaction of getting shot at, then I don’t know what to tell you other than to stop being so obtuse.

He can try. But thanks to Scotus, a President is absolutely immune for his official acts.  Collins tweet is pretty desperate and despicable.

Doubt ordering the assassination of a political opponent would be deemed an "official act."

Get over yourself, the gesture wasn't badass, and it's perfectly valid for me to say that without needing to have been shot at before.

He donated to Act Blue on Biden's Inauguration Day.

He registered as a Republican to vote in the PA Republican Primary to vote for Doug Mastriano like a bunch of other whack job Progressives and Communists did so Josh Shapiro could win.

This is a bewilderingly stupid take.  Walk me through this, please.  What was staged? A couple dead people was staged, or is that fake?   How does this work in your brain?

I wouldn't bother.  He's either trolling or stupid.

If you can’t do the time, don’t do the crime.  Or so they say…

I’ve seen lots of mocking of the 2 female SS agents this morning. Yes, they were way too small to adequately shield someone of Trump’s size, leaving him inexcusably exposed when trying to move him off the stage. It occurred to me though that at least one of them recognized their size limitation and kept contorting her body to try to block as much of him as she could. That thoughtless sacrifice, even though it may be part of the job description, shows me that they weren’t completely unqualified, that they possess a selfless courage that many don’t, and that, in regards to this incident, the finger pointing at them might be misplaced.
