If it's a news anchor that you rely on for factual reporting it's one thing. But you cannot expect people to engage in public discussions and not speculate on events as they happen. Just don't take it as fact.

I kinda think the memes and jokes undermine the impact of what actually happened. I'll be curious to see if Trump leans into them ("oh my beautiful ear will never be the same, some people used to say I had the most beautiful ears of anyone they'd seen before.") He's such a clown that I can't even imagine him trying to strike a somber tone about a near death experience. It'll either be anger directed at democrats or he'll resort to joking, or some weird combination of both.
